    Not saving - continued

It just doesn't seem to be finding my latest saves, and I don't want to play through again, knowing this is going to keep happening.

Folks, the DRM is not working, it is a buggy mess, and making at least my game unplayable.

I have signed the petition asking them to remove the cloud-save requirement from the single-player component of this game, and am putting my voice here (and in other threads). This has been nothing but frustration that I've paid $50 for. And as I've said before, I will never, ever, ever buy a single-player game again that has an online requirement.

    Thanks.
I wanted to see if there had been positive changes since the fiasco around the July long weekend, so I logged on to play AC II again yesterday. Sure enough I had to start using a saved game dated July 15, 2012 (which wasn't close to the last game I played, but so be it). So, i played a good three hours, playing through challenges I had gone through at least 3 - 4 times, and I got the furthest I had every gone. I stopped playing, letting the game sync. I returned the next afternoon (now) and logged on to find that not only has all my progress been lost once again, but the saved game I have to start from is now dated July 12, 2012. All I have to say is unfreaking believable. Ubisoft is incompetent and impotent. The amount of money I've paid Ubisoft to experience their games is shockingly disproportionate to the value I've received in return. I'd like my money back to spend on more enjoyable games where I get what I've paid for. I'll try to get recompense, however I forsee a lot of failed attempts to connect to the appropriate people, passing the buck, making excuses, or just flat out unresponsiveness which would be consistent to what I've seen overall. Anyway, I will discourage any of my friends from playing or purchasing games from Ubisoft/Uplay due to their failure to launch. It's illegal for people to steal products from companies like this, however is it actually legal for a company to accept money from people for products that do not fulfill what they purport to provide? Should I not be able to play and complete a game I've paid for? When Ubisoft tells me Uplay provides a specific service that my purchasing of the product helps to support and maintain, should it not do so? Hmmm. Apparently not. Ubisoft will take my money happily and not give me a satisfactory or even usable product as described. Awesome. Seriously! All I want to do is play my game!!
    Now... where's that petition.

Following your reports, the team is currently looking into the game saves issue.

In the meantime, if you only play on a single PC and have issue with game saves, you can try and disable the option in the Settings (the little cog left of your username). I'll let you know as soon as have more on this issue.

You don't. Welcome to Unotplay! Provided by Upisoff.

If you bought it through Steam, contact their support and chase for a refund. Give them the whole spiel on crap service and obviously things not working and no support etc etc. They've given a number of people refunds as 'one off service gestures'.

Kind of ruins your case if you play it though so if you're going this route hold off on that. Otherwise you might be able to go through PayPal, if you bought it through them, otherwise you're kind of stuck with it. Wait for their servers to get out of bed and get a coffee, mozey on down to work and FINALLY put their services back online, then play locally so you don't lose your saves.

If your password is longer than 16 chars only type in the first 16, there's a limit on Uplay but not the website. Maybe try reinstalling Uplay as well, seems to have helped a few people.

Under no circumstances should you download a cracked copy which will work perfectly fine 24/7. This is about as illegal as Ubisoft installing software into everyone's browsers without knowledge or consent.

    Hi,

Sorry for my English, i'm French i'll try to explain my problem correctly

Actually, i have a problem with the success for Assassin's Creed Revelations. It seems that in the old launcher, the success was validate online (like the Actions) but with UPlay, the success are validate in a one file "C:/Users/berillions/AppData/
    Local/Ubisoft Game Launcher/spool/319b28c4-2511-45f5-a928-c70388fcc4f0/40.spool" (40 it's for AC:R)

In fact, when i launch UPlay, i see only the success validate with UPlay. To see the success validated with the old launcher, i must to launch the game and wait to synchronize the success/savegame. And it's impossible to register the success already validate with the old launcher in the file (40.spool) with UPlay even if i try to do a success with a new game)

My question is : Why the success are not registered online like the Actions ?

What kind of error message are you getting? Can you log in on the www.uplay.com website? There is currently no authentication issue that I am aware of, so you should be able to log in.

Password are limited to 16 chararacters, but the password field in Uplay PC currently does not limit the number of chars that can be entered. If you have a long password, make sure you enter only the first 16 chars.

Just to be sure, your Actions/Rewards are showing properly, but not the successes?

This bug in Uplay 2.0 is pretty obvious and I think affects everyone. For AC Revelations (and maybe all other games with achievements tab in launcher) all achievements are displayed as not completed after every Uplay start. You have to start and close game itself for this tab to update properly.
