...Seriously...
Whenever I try to log in to the uplay client, I get a message saying that my username or password is incorrect, even though I'm certain that they are (both are under 16 characters). I just bought Anno 2070, and I can't log in! If I try to create a new account from the launcher, it says that the ubisoft server is unavailable.
UPLAY KNOWN ISSUE:
YOU CANNOT PLAY GAMES YOU'VE PURCHASED.
Instead you are adviced to go find a crack released by PIRATES and use it so YOU CAN PLAY GAMES YOU JUST PAID FOR!!!
GREAT JOB UBI!
You realize you LOSE MORE MONEY BECAUSE OF THIS DRM than you would EVER lose because of pirates?!?!?!?!
Hours later from my first post, the same problem persists. Only now I cannot even use offline mode for whatever reason. I think Ubisoft has dropped the ball here.
I haven't been able to login since the most recent uplay client upgrade.
Chrome is my default browser (on win7 x64). Chrome takes forever to login to the uplay website too.
IE logs in to the uplay website quickly.
Maybe the issues are related?
Sure enough, if I switch my default browser back to IE (IE9) then check the "allow uplay to use a proxy to connect to the internet" option then I can login.
Chrome and IE sometimes don't play nice when it comes to proxying; I've had to change the proxy settings in IE as a way to fix an issue that occured while using Chrome (unrelated to this issue).
Chrome uses by default windows configured proxy ... as do IE as i remember
Uhhhhh, So I just spammed the login button like 10 times and it went through. wut?
