I bought Might and Magic VI via steam today and had the same problems. I fixed the issue about uplay on my pc as i launched steam as administrator (right click on steam -> run as admin). Now it works
Bought Might and Magic VI via Steam as well. UPlay launches fine, but I am unable to log in. The game patched properly, though, which confuses the heck out of me.

The error is the same regardless of proxy settings.

I included the information in your post when I updated my ticket with Ubisoft. I hope that's OK. I just hope they are able to use that information to help others with the same problem :-)
Playing this game through the "Conflux" is both frustrating and annoying. I hane ALL the M&M games from the original (M&M1) to the current. This current version BLOWS. While the story and technical effects are excellent, the continuity of trying to use saved games is currently non-exsistant.
I am running the Sanctuary campaign (or trying to). I ran the 1st two (3 counting the tutorial) campaigns then skipped over to Inferno and came back to Sanctuary. It usually takes more than 20 minutes to get a successful finish to sync'ing the saved games. But when I come back play again and get into the game after re-sync'ing on startup, the saved games are NOT correct. I've had to restart the same scenario at least four times. Please restore this game back to version 1.3 which was, I think, the last known good (for me) version.
I fully expected to get a game of the same quality as in previous versions (I realize you are NOT the same company). This is not the case. When I try to play the game "offline" it is "crippled." As it stands it is worth NOT more than $9,95 and not the nearly $50 I paid for it. Please refund me the difference immediately to the address I provided upon registration. If you cannot access this information please send me an e-mail because I know you have that on file.
How about you guys hire someone competent to do your programming for once?
How about you guys provide a better service than people can get for free from a cracked version?
Did you try removing the "Enable Cloud Save Synchronization for supported games" in the Uplay settings? I only play on one computer, so I see no need in having my save games online.

Hi, im having the problem of not being able to log into my Uplay account even though i am putting in the correct details. Ive already checked and my password is shorter than 16 characters so i have no clue what the problem could be, any help would be appreciated. thanks.
I can't log into uplay for playing HOMM 6 and no my password is nowhere near 16 characters. There is something very wrong on your end and I can't access my save games in offline mode
