Hi as the title says i bought H.A.W.X.2 today Retail PC DVD-ROM, Still sealed till i got home this afternoon.

Now i have been trying to install this game for the last 3-4 hours with no luck at all it comes down to 1 problem.

I get an error saying this.

Feature: Tom Clancy´s H.A.W.X. 2
Component: Game
File: D\:data2.cab
Error: Informationfault (Cyclical redundancy Control)

Now i have no ****ing idea what this means.

All i know now is that i have 1 of ubisofts products that was sealed untill i opened in put the DVD disc in and started installing it.
I did nothing else to the DVD disc to damage or make it dirty it is pristine.

I tried all the options on the forums i switched off my Anti-Virus, firewall nothing happens.
i tries running it as admin nothing happens.
I uninstalled the launcher and re-installed it 2 times nothing happens.

I tried just about everything, what i also read somewhere on the forums is that most of these boxed DVD's have problems.

Problem is once the seal is broken i cannot take the game back not even if the disk is faulty, so what do i do now ?

Edit: Found out that it was a CRC error, does any1 here know how i can fix this because really im getting a bit sick and tire of trying and trying i feel like giving up.

Btw there is nothing wrong with this disk it´s in pristine condition there is nothing wrong with my pc either since it´s brand new.

What can i do to get this PoS to start working cause i want to play it.

Well, the simpliest way will be downloading unregistered HAWX2 redist form the torrent\file hoster and then registering it with your code. That's the only option I could think of. CRC error means the disc is busted just not physically.

P.S. Don't buy in that store anymore. Even pirates exchange busted discs.

Well the shop i bought it from is a trusted shop nearly every single game out of my 300 Hard copy retail games i bought comes from that shop

I seriously dont think it's the shops fault though i dont see how the game could have been exchanged by a pirate since the game was still sealed.

Ooh I am sorry my friend Look all the people who bought the hawx2 has different problems mine freeze a lot you should buy the HAWX1 I play this version a lot its better. Now i contacted this guy Black_Widow9 who had helped me with other problems you will find him here in the forum send him a private message letting him know your problem i am sure he will help you or will give you links where you can go and ask for help BUT for what you say i think your disk has been open before and the software got damage but i hope you fix your problem laters

Well i downloaded it but uplay doesnt want me to register the game using the key i got from the retail copy how do i do this ?

Thanks for the help my issue is resolved, downloaded the game first uninstalled it and re-installed it using my retail CD and everything just worked fine logged my first hour of gameplay so far and no problems thanks again for the help

What I meant is that even a pirate will replace your disc if the one you bought from him is busted.

And the policy of not being able to take the obviously broken game back to the shop if you broke the seal on the package is ridiculous. How you're supposed to know if the disc is busted or not without taking it from the package?
