Congratulations fellow Windows XP users! We have now been waiting a grand total of 6 weeks since PC release for this patch!!!!!

But it's all good because Ubisoft are working on the patch!

Ok, it's certainly good news that you are finally releasing 1.4 and giving free content to PC gamers. And confirming that XP users are not forgotten is always a nice breath of air.
But you've got to cope with our bad temper if we had to wait this long to play a game that just sits in the corner right now. More so if it was announced on release date that XP support would be patched in in short time.

In fact my main interest was to play coop campaign with my friends (who are running on Windows 7), and by now they've already won the game and moved on to something else

Now, I understand priorities and all, and everyone who ran into a problem with the game deserves a swift solution, but I can't help but to feel a little brushed aside in all this. Somehow as if my game was worth a little less than that of the guy who's got buggy FPS... and I've got NO FPS for a long while now

Just to clarify on something, I AM grateful that you are fixing what should never have happened in the first place.

And while you've been waiting for a patch that was promised to be out within 3 weeks of release, you've lost your opptuinity for a refund, and the price on Amazon has now dropped to £19.00. I don't know where you got your copy, or how muchyou paid for it. But assuming you paid around £30, you've paid at least £10 more than someone who gets it when the XP patch is finally out. £10 for the privalige of owning a game longer than them, even though you couldnt play it all that time.

Yeah well my opportunity for a refund was lost from the start, as I bought it from steam and i'ts quite hard to get a refund from them. I see your point though.
Ubisoft should give me £10 worth of extra content to compensate for the time my 'inactive' product spent degrading it's value.

well now you can't have your money back, but at the beginning some guy (some user of this forum too) got his money back some day after the release. Just because steam too put xp as compatible OS ofr this game.
