im thinking 3 button to be used instead of a controller..sides buttons operate side to side middle is select...pedal also used in amp mode..optional tho sold seperately of course cuz im sure its not ereyones cup of tea

I would think 4 buttons. When you are playing a song you can switch to one of your three "tones" or the songs real tone. I would love it f they did this. I think it would be better if it was a company like mad catz that made it so it would be usable with bandfuse. Both games just means more songs, and more learning techniques.

i was really thinkin a standard pedal that you plug a normal 1/4" jack into the input and the RS cable from the output to the console

Heck, they can do 10-12 buttons, with two wah / volume pedals and a four way FX selector - why not? There's 10-12 buttons on a controller, two thumb stick and a 4/8 way.

I do plug my tuner pedal inline with the guitar to rocksmith.

They have pedals for driving/racing games. Could you assign buttons to the brake and gas pedals? Like step on the gas pedal for Square button for Custom Tone?

There is an old thread on this forum, where a memeber re-housed a controller into a floor pedal.

I am too busy to search it down this morning, but maybe tomorrow, if I remember.

I know someone posted before about using a dance mat (from a Dance, dance, revolution game) as a floor/foot controller. They're kind of big, but work apparently.

It would be nice if an aftermarket company made one specificly for RS. I'm not holding my breath though.
