It's stupid that internet connection is necessary for Might & Magic Heros VI wih save data.
And now, Uplay! You play after 5 min!
Problems over problem. not fair.
I've noticed that Uplay 2.0 now takes a lot longer to start and that actually getting to the "Start game" option now requires I click an extra button. The new interface looks cluttered and ugly too IMO. The old version was much faster and streamlined. Can we have it back please?

they could've totally avoided this. for example, if we wanna play Splinter Cell: Conviction, Conviction_game.exe executes UPlay.exe... which then takes the player to the "Home" screen.
Ubisoft could've just taken an argument from Conviction_game.exe and just bring the player to the start SCC game screen instead of making the player click through and select the game again from the UPlay screen. to me, this is just a lame UI issue. maybe the programmers/designers themselves dont play Ubisoft games.

wat is more important is UPlay using a lot of CPU for 5 minutes, and then turning the control over to the user.
i bet Ubisoft is hashing the *.exe and the *.dll of various Ubisoft games to compare it with a database's values to detect if the files have been modified illicitly... and/or some other anti-piracy methods.
bloody lame as heck, takes a long time to start UPlay and actually PLAY the game, and i bet it'd be cracked in a few days anyway.

pirates will always crack games. legit players will always buy the game. is punishing the legit player a way to secure the product?
