Is There a Way to Turn Off Animations?

This post concerns the animations that are shown when you change the faction of a town or creature abode, or go up a step in Blood or Tears.

I sure am getting tired of waiting for an animation to load so the I can hit the "Skip" button.

Is there a way to disable these animations so they never occur?

    Thanks!

there used to be this feature in the beta, but it was removed for unknown reason

I am tired of this too, I have spent almost 200 hours on this game and still have not finished all the campaign. The game is great, but this is actually annoying

    Thanks for the info hermes.

BTW is there thread concerning wish lists of changes for upcoming patches to Heroes VI? I don't see one stickied in this forum. If there is, I'll add this request to it.

yes there is. i have turned off and they are still off. you have to go to a script file and delete a line or something. i'll look into it whenever possible and let you know.

is it in xml? if so that would be really easy to turn off if you can locate the correct file. I REALLY REALLY hate these stupid tears/blood lvl-up animations and town changing animations as well. I can only assume that the development team was cracked out of their collective minds when they decided to remove the ability to turn these off after the beta....

Open the "ProfileData"-file with text editor and change, the original to this:
<adv_ConversionScene>false</adv_ConversionScene> (you are actually chaning the value from true to false)
and for the battle cam i'm not sure when you know the creature gets good luck. i think it's this. try it with caution.
    <combat_BattleCam>false</combat_BattleCam>
