Yeti Crash Error, possible fix (nVidia)
All,
I have been having the same issue with the Yeti Fatal Error crash. I tried rolling back drivers. I tried not installing patches. I deleted the file folder in my documents. I clean reinstalled several times. Nothing worked.
Today, I tried different nvidia drivers:
301.42. Nothing. Failed.
296.10 (it worked once, then the normal shut down and come back later, the game would fail to launch).
295.73 (seems to be the winner. The game is relaunching consistently while the CPU remained on, even with saved games and all graphics options checked. No other driver did this. If they worked, they worked once then they would fail. I have yet to shut down and restart.)
I believe if I shut down and restart, the game will likely not launch. However, if the game fails to launch, I believe a clean reinstall of just the driver 295.73 will allow the game to launch. (It takes less than a minute). I will let you know, but I wanted to get this out to the community first.
I am using an ASUS 580 GPU, BTW.

Upon restart of the CPU, as expected the game did not launch. However, a quick reinstall of the nvidia driver worked like a charm. Stick to driver 295.73.
Should I have to reinstall the driver every time I want to play no, but I do have a tech support ticket with UBI, so we will see what happens.

STEP 1
•Go to your windows device manager.
•Uninstall the display adapter. (It does not matter what GPU you own.)
•Reinstall the updated drivers for your respective GPU.
STEP 2
•Type cmd in run and run it as administrator.
•Now type: sfc /scannow.
•After the scan is complete restart the computer.
