The first one is a .PNG, the second is a .GIF

GIF = loss of picture quality.

In those particular pictures, evidenced by the pixelation by the ghosts head (sharper cuts), and the loss of quality around the glow on the sentry turret.

I have to say though, some nice sigs in here, I've done a few for skyrim forums dot org; same username on there. I may knock out some great templates, and first come first served gets their name on it.

Not a prob Bean, just glad to see people starting to add a little color to their posts, even if it's just due to their sigs. lol

I now know why I stopped doing graphic art a long time ago, once I start toying with it, I tend to ignore other things (like today, been on GIMP all day while at work.... oh well at least I'm getting paid for it! lol)

You took the words out of my mouth. I seen the flaws right away. Although you will get the same results from an optimized png as well. I have an optimizer (RIOT) that can rip a 300kb down to 40 kb but the "pixelation" around the edges get torn up. If I can figure out how to rip a PNG down without tearing it up Ill be in business.

Thank you for the compliments. I got a long way to go but my work is getting better. Im still learning how to make custom images from brushes, tools, and filters. Rather than using samples to get full renders.

Here is another concept I worked on today: I call it Antique Ghost (Hes in front of an Antique store)



Let me know what you guys think! I got another version that doesn't have the graffiti on the wall. So if somebody wanted it to put there name on it, I could do that.

Putting your name inside the graffiti might look cool. If you have a short name that is, don't think mine would work.
