GoDaddy DIDN'T change their policy on SOPA. They sent out a press release saying they did (when they didn't) so they could try and preserve the customers that were rightly flocking away from them. Literally hours after they released that bogus article there was evidence that they were still supporting SOPA. I'd never do business with a company that blatantly lies to its customers purely to maintain their contracts and income.
I'm trying to maintain the integrity of the community by unifying all of the WIki activity on one site instead of segregating it onto two different locations. Not to mention the fact that you obviously want to increase traffic to your main site (Desron.net), otherwise you would have purchased a domain name like growiki or ghostrecononlinewiki... Multiple wiki pages for the same game creates two different images of the game.
The semi-official wiki is:
http://ghostrecononline.wikia.com
When I say semi-official, I mean that it's being run on an extremely well known site for gaming wikis. Getting malicious content from the ads displayed on Wikia is probably a ridiculously small percentile. There are also Community Leaders actively managing it. We have a more direct line to the game developers and Ubisoft staff than most players, so we can verify facts much more easily.
It's rather insulting to those of us who already put a lot of time and effort into creating the GRO Wikia when someone else comes along and just goes "oh hey come use mine on my site instead cause there's no ads and that makes it better somehow". Especially AFTER you asked for our permission to do so, then when we declined your offer you just go ahead and do it anyway.
