YETI FATAL ERROR. Seeing alot of this. | Forums

Bought GRFS first launch went good, got to the first menu. Had a nift through gunsmith and that's about it. Then crashed.
Every launch after, crashes after intro with the YETI error.

Been seeing this all over the forum for days/week. How long does it take to make 1 patch? Not happy. Considering applying for a refund.
The general logic behind video game creation is to test that it works before distribution. What happened with this?

Is there an update to this? This is utter crap. I only just bought this game. I didn't buy it for the icon to look pretty on my desktop. Any mods on? Updates or what?

I have the same issue and did some research. It seems the issue lies in the graphics card.
A solution i heard about is lowering the clock frequency and memory frequency with MSI afterburner.
This only works with Nvidea cards, dont know about ATI cards. Unfortunely this didnt work for me.
I contacted support but they didnt do much yet.

I find this unacceptable that after even a long time of creating this game such issues exist. This is the reason why there should be Beta testing in the first place.

Let me sum up the solutions ive heard about on the internet so far.
- Reinstall the game without updating => apparently the update 1.02 makes this crash (from what i've heard)
- If you have a Nvidea card try underclocking it with MSI afterburner

I hope this worked for anyone and when ive had more information from ubisoft support il make sure to let you know.

same error.. but i get to play the game but when a round is done i always get the error.. so i get to play with stock weapons but never allowed to level up because i get the **** error when exp is normally recieved..

There was suposed to be a patch 5 july. For those who read this. It was the day before i posted this. Didnt see any patch and i hope il be able to play this game. Ive contacted support but they said they didnt kno of this "yeti: fatal error" issue. At this moment i feel kinda screwed since i payed 65 euro for this game and i am not even able to start the game sp or mp or coop.

What OS are you using? If Xp, ummmm..... maybe patch for you... IF Vista makes sure you are service pack 2, if 7..... what is video card?

OK i have been playing the game for three days with no issues other than graphics are not all that great. Today i go to start the game. a friend asks me to join VENT i do an ALT_TAB and when i ALT TAB back the game crashes and creates a dump file. This has happened to my friends game a 4 days ago and without success he has now been unable to play for 4 days because of it. Now every time I attempt to start the game it makes it to the opening screen to press any key when i press any key it crashes again.,and again. Now I am sort of stuck and at the mercy of UBISOFT in waiting on responses as to a remedy to this issue. please check to see if an ALT_TAB causes an issue. as that is the only thing i have done to possibly cause this dump to start. now 4 days for one friend and how many for me. same yeti error

I have got rid of most of my issues by blocking the updates, I am going to put info on all the fixes/glitches that I have found on our site and in our forum. you are welcome to check them out. I would advise not downloading any of the updates though until there is one that actually works. I also found that reducing the graphics settings helps especially with the yeti crash.
