Ironside has to be the voice of Fisher! He was integral in creating the persona which we all love and responsible for making him as interesting as he was even during his "shallow" days. So bring Ironside back as the voice actor or let Eric Johnson take over as a new guy... too bad Archer was killed.

There's no chance now. We all had to go through the terrible emotions after hearing that unfortunate and discouraging news, but you just have to accept the fact that they made that decision. Ironside will always be the voice of the Sam Fisher that started this journey and took us all the way till now.

How funny (yet cool) would it be if they released a Michael Ironside "dialogue voiceover" as an optional language? Even as a DLC. I would buy it, haha.

Well it's a continuing trend with this and other franchises that have lived so long. People move on, whether it be creative minds like with AC or actors like Michael and characters like Lambert in SC and Lucy in Creed....characters die, actors age, the world keeps changing.
We have to learn to accept these things when the changes are for rationale reasons, and sure lament the changes but not let it override our common sense. I'm happy we didn't lose Sam as well, but like most of you, I had prepared for it and come to terms with it because I had expected it to happen, so the way they did it (keep Sam lose Michael) was a shock that we hadn't prepared for.

It's okay, Michael didn't die, he's still working and living. Sam is okay and will hopefully be well served by Eric, and SC moves forward into the new era. I'm going with it.

I just saw Haywire tonight (really enjoyed it btw) and I totally agree with you--it's great reference for a believable female agent.
Gina kicks a55 in that movie. I thought the uber realistic tone of the film made it quite unique too, and emphasized the realism of the scenarios.

I'm glad you liked it, partially because it confirms my opinion of it, I really thought it was pretty special. It's rare for a newer movie to surpass some of the older stuff in the realistic tone of things, what with all the CGI support we have now and the general desire for bigger and badder. Gina's talent really had everything to do with making the vision and the realization coalesce into one great and believable action ops movie.
Good cast too.
Definitley would love to have her as the female PC in SC, wouldn't doubt her qualifications for a second
