I have heard news from Lucas produciton company that the Live action version is right around the corner and they have already 100 episodes fully written ready for production.
Variable speed gives more control over your walk/sneak which in turn gives your animations a personal touch and increases re-playability. It is also tied directly into the AI sound system.
Analogue controllers where created to give you more control over your character and the Developers have a responsibility to use it.
For me it's a no buy without it.
Actually...the title of this thread has Star Wars and the whole thing was comparing it to the idea that the Prequel Trilogy changed Star Wars....so it was always lsightly off-topic/on-topic.
Besides I mention that any haters on the Prequels definitely can't defend the new direction of SC.
