Wouldn't this be the biggest mindblow ever?

At the end of AC3, Desmond and William confront Vidic and Desmond says "It's all over, doc!". Then, Vidic says "Desmond, do it." and Desmond quickly stabs his dad William. It is then revealed that during Desmond's time at Abstergo, Vidic implanted an impulse in Desmond's mind to kill William Miles, just like he did to Daniel Cross to kill the mentor. So all this time, Desmond was secretly a sleeper-agent. Desmond then smiles at Vidic and they both walk off as we hear the Templar attack being launched in the background and the credits roll.

I'm not saying I want this to happen, but wouldn't it be the biggest mindblow ever?

I don't know about you guys. But this may very well be true, it could be the big twist that Ubi was talking about.

I think with Ubi we should expect anything to be possible. They have thrown some nasty twists at us previously already and it would be a mistake to rule anything out.

Interesting thought, but I don't think it's true

I dunno if it is ever explicitly mentioned, but I would assume Desmond's training / heritage / genes make him hard to indoctrinate, even subliminally. Not to mention that TWCB, like Juno, would've noticed something was up with Desmond, like she noticed what was wrong with Lucy in AC:B.

And even if Desmond was a sleeper agent, he wouldn't just side with Vidic afterwards. Daniel Cross only sided with the Templars after he killed the Mentor because he was scared and surprised, and had nowhere left to go in his mind. Of course, his help with the Great Purge made him a cowardly enemy rather than a scared victim, but I digress...

I'm sure we're in for another mindblow from Ubisoft. It is Assassin's Creed, after all. I just don't think it would go that way. Who knows though; I'm certainly not master of all things story-related to AC Don't really know what to expect TBH.

(I DO, however, think William Miles will end up dead via Templar or Assassin hand... My bet is on Daniel Cross killing him to make him the main and tangible antagonist for Desmond in the third game. Kind of like his counterpart, y'know?)

I'm almost sure that something bad will happen to Desmond, I think he'll end up like Shepard(Sacrifising himself to save the world.)

How would we continue to run about as Connor though after we finished the game?
