I think it will be 186 masterred arrangements when I include the ones I've masterred from this week's DLC so far (haven't put those arrangements into Ziggy's site yet)... So yes, Master Mode performances are almost always from a song I have not memorized, often from an arrangement that I don't even know the sound of until the song starts up.

So.. I just don't play events anymore. Never really was a fan of events anyhow, so it's not a big deal to avoid them

In all sincerity, any chance of you doing a video of this week's DLC Seattle? I'd love to see how some of those are played. Hit Me With Your Best Shot is definitely hitting me with its best shot. I think I may be able to get it, but this is definitely in the "stretch" area of my guitar ability. Love it, but it hurts good.

Although I've masterred HMWYBS I still don't have the second part of the solo down smoothly (it is a 2 block solo, so let me level it without hitting everything), the problem is accellerator is blocking me as I mentioned in that last thread, so I can't actually slow it down at 100% mastery to get it nailed the way I would want to for putting up a vid.

That said, I am looking into getting a tripod so I can eventually take some vids.

My first MM Encore must have gone a bit better than I thought. There was no score shown when I finished the song, so I really had no idea how I did at the time. All I know was it seemed horrible. But, when I subtracted the subtotal of the other song scores from the overall event score, it turns out I got slightly over 96k on the MM Encore. That's like getting a 48k on a regular song which is not great, but let me tell ya it didn't seem like I even did that well on this song from memory. I would have guessed closer to 500. Maybe 2000 at the outside.

Thanks. I'm not sure I'd have figured that one out in a month of Sundays.

[QUOTE=JTCoop;8422258]You have 180 mastered arrangements? Holy crap! I've got maybe 15 and a few of those are alternate arrangements of the same songs. I'd be a little surprised if anyone could remember more than maybe 20 songs well enough to just play them off the top of their head. (Think about it - how many songs does a band play during a single concert?) So, in addition to your suggestions (all good ones), I'd say there should be a limited number of arrangements/songs from which RS draws MM encores. Perhaps there could be a user-defined setlist of memorized songs?

I have like 125 mastered arrangements and I agree with Suave it is near impossible to remember that many arrangements, and what sucks is now all your encores will be Master Mode, making double encores nearly impossible. I agree also with SeattleSuave decision on how it should be encores should be setup.

My opinion is the game should do one of three things:
    1) Choose the encore, and you get the option of playing it in Master Mode, or regular
    2) Force you to play a MM encore, but let you choose the song
    3) Let you decide you don't want to play the encore (just leave the stage and call it a day) if it forces a MM song you don't know on you

I like this idea as well. Hey Suave have you since you live in Seattle, have you ever been to Ocean Shores I am actually leaving there for the 4th of july and it a awesome place to be on the 4th if you never seen it.

I've been over to westport, but not ocean shores, so have no advice unfortunately

The last few 4th of july weekends I've gone to the Oregon Coast, which has been really great. This year with the new baby I'm just staying home, so no traffic jams for me!
