    freezing with green dots/snow

I can connect to both multiplayer and singleplayer, but after a few minutes of play it will freeze with alot of green dots on my screen. CTRL+ALT+DEL - only solution is to end the task

After this crash, nvidia pops up with an error:
Nvidia has stopped responding and resolved(something like that).

Got the newest drivers for GeForce GTX 580

    DxDiag
    Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_gdr.120330-1504)

System Manufacturer: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd.
    System Model: Z68A-D3-B3
    BIOS: Award Modular BIOS v6.00PG
    Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2500K CPU @ 3.30GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.6GHz
    Memory: 8192MB RAM
    Available OS Memory: 8176MB RAM
Page File: 2725MB used, 13622MB available
    Windows Dir: C:\Windows
    DirectX Version: DirectX 11
    DX Setup Parameters: Not found
User DPI Setting: Using System DPI
System DPI Setting: 96 DPI (100 percent)
    DWM DPI Scaling: Disabled
    DxDiag Version: 6.01.7601.17514 32bit Unicode

Running through steam and have patched it to 1.2

Any one know a solution for this?

Yep. The game is completely unplayable thanks to my 580 GTX apparently. Crashes within moments into the opening cutscene of the campaign. blacking out back to desktop and sound still playing and giving me that error about the video card not responding and then recovering. Just waiting for a patch fix. Since ubisoft say they are investigating it.
