settlers 7recently bought this to play enjoying the campagin at the moment,but looking to enjoy more online,but so far i havent seen any games online as of yet,and people in chatroom=/only saw 4 people online late at night

You need to get a list of contacts. I have already sent you a friend request to get you started. Multiplayer is often done by invitaion, so you don't see the games. It has been quite slow for the last week or so, I hope it's temporary. You can get an idea of how many are playing by checking the leaderboards. Yesterday started a new month; at midnight (my time) there were 8 players. Now 10:00 the next morning there are 90, many of whom have played more than one game. Those are Empire games. No way to know how many multiplayer games there have been. Chat rooms are not used very much.

Everybody does not connect the same. I do not connect well, probably because of my location and my type of internet connection. This affects how many games I can play. I often search for empire games for an hour and get nothing. It is obvious by the number of games others play that they do not have this problem.

You can start a multiplayer game. I suggest a 2 player map first to get the feel of it. Also game will start faster. Wait at least 10 minutes for someone to join. Sunday afternoon seems to me to be the best time to find a game. That would be Sunday evening in Germany where most of the players of this game are. If you speak German you can go to the German forums, they are more active.

Sadly my friend this game has died on its feet, it seems to have been abandonned by its creators, who do not even bother to respond to requests for information about its future or and further expansions for the game DLC`s. They seem to be hell bent on their very poor and expensive browser based game which to be honest isn`t a patch on the real game.

As Sings-in -tune says you can buiold up a contacts list and there are people who play online even though you don`t see them all showing at once. It is a fanatstic game to play against a human opponent and I hope you get the chance to try it.

As I said though it seems to have been hung out to dry by its creators which is really sad for a game that has had seven different versions all of which were good based on their own merits.

Really quite sad and annoying to see how this game and its long standing fans have been dumped by the games creators.

I used play every chance I had with my brother and friends sadly we have played out what there is to offer and custom maps so hardly bother anymore.

Anyhow enjoy what there is and maybe catch you online sometime
