So i decided to replay far cry 1 again after a long time but wanted to play the game with better visuals. This meant editing the vegetation view distance in the map editor, enabling shadows on trees and plants and all that kind of stuff.
The thing is when i increase the view distance on trees and plants n'that which im able to do right with no trouble, I go in game and the view distance of the vegetation is better but as I move and look around the sky flickers on and off pitch black. This has been getting to me cos i seached internet long and no one has had this problem. (doing all this on training level first to get it right)

You need a better pc setup, your graphics card cant handle the graphics you want, so its clipping. You could cause permanent damage to it if you continue to play at those settings.
