This game is not compatible with XP at the moment. There are a few other threads about this. If you bought the game off steam it clearly states that this game is compatible with XP. There has been a post by Ubi that "In 2-3 weeks, no specific ETA" there will be a patch for XP. I have demanded a refund since this is unacceptable.

I did not bother to check OS compatibility when I pre-ordered. Thats my fault.
I didn't think to do it since I was already playing in the closed beta on the same XP machine. I just assumed that the full version would work too. You know what they say about assumptions.

depends on where you purchased it from. I purchased mine on Steam, and I did check the compatibility, they just lied about it.

    Hi there,

This game, Ghost Recon Future Soldier - has never had a closed beta on PC?

Are you confusing it with Ghost Recon Online?

It's a different game, sorry to tell you.

There is a patch which will make the game XP compatible, and thats expected in the next few weeks - I don't have an ETA at present though.

I can only suggest you contact Steam support and work with them to see what they say.
