I hate to break it to you guys but no matter when a game is released it is competing with COD. People still play MW4 for christs sake. and even if it was released in Sept, come Nov players would fall off again. if FC3 reviews well and is a well made product then it will open eyes no matter when it's released. I am bummed it's being delayed but I would much rather have a polished product then a half finished one. And great move keeping the Beta on schedule, that will allow them to make changes based on the feedback they received.

In my opinion this shows promise for this game. They wouldn't delay a game that was going to be crappy, especially into the teeth of the holiday onslaught. From what I have seen it's already better than FC2 and this will give them time to really tighten the screws. All of you gloom and doom people need to zip it up. no game that has been delayed has ever been worse for it. Any dev will tell you they wished they had more time. Now they do and I really hope they take advantage of it. Now i REALLY hope I get one of those Beta codes on facebook because we can actually make a difference!

once the BETA is released there will be very little in the way of change that means we a largly locked in.... If they break the BETA release for August no problem.... I am sure they are doing whatever they have to do and a little more to bring us the best experience possible.

Your right about delay and they have chosen to do this for good reason and It will be worth the wait so let's all wait with baited breath and know that they choose to deliver us the best they can offer and although they may be doing some things quite similar to other games that they are also not afraid to go in new directions and stand out and be different.

It's because of this we need to give them more support and not try to hinder them with whining about it's late or it's delayed but trust them to get there for which they will eventually you are absolutly right on that

It's all good. You guys should take your time to make the "best game" possible. However, I hope you guys will also have decent post-release support this time around. Last time, you guys released a grand total of one patch for FC2, and the game had many game breaking issues that never got fixed. Dedicated server launcher for pc for example was pure garbage. No server company was willing to host fc2 servers cos the laucnher was taking up too much memory. And don't even get me started on weapon balance. You guys sold your one million copies and bailed. If you guys are making a game with a solid multiplayer option this time, it's very important that the game gets patched often to get rid of glitches/bugs and listen to the community feedback to balance the game. The last few decent fps shooters ( cod4 and cs 1.6 imo) did just that.

It´s True. September was a good release date. In November most people will prefer play COD instead of Far Cry 3.

Wow very disappointing. Was excited for this game but now probably wont even play it.

I find that its very rare for a game to get delayed and then end up being a good game when its released. It tends to mean there are fundamental flaws in the game itself.

Not to mention I will already be playing the big hit games that come out right before December. September was the perfect release date for this game.

It seems Ubisoft was sort of in a no win situation here. Either release a broken game or push it back and probably lose a ton of sales and still have a broken game. Very sad to hear. This was one of my most looked forward to games. In part because of its original release date.

Some of the comments that you guys are making don't make sense. If someone was gona get another game that came after FAR CRY 3 anyways, then it doesn't realy matter when the game out, I see the delay as a good thing because now not only is the game going to be improved, it's going to come out closer to christmas which means more people are likely to get it especially on Black Friday. Besides, I don't know if you noticed, but the PS3 CO-OP gameplay at E3 2012 looked horrible in comparison to the PC gameplay we've been seing. I understand that most PCs have a greater gaphics card but still, I've seen games with better graphics than that come out in the past on Xbox 360 and PS3, for example UNCHARTED 3, KILLZONE 3, L.A. NOIRE, and CRYSIS 2 all had excellent graphics. It realy pisses me off when you see gameplay for a game and you think the graphics are the best and when you actually play it on a console, it feels like the worst game ever. So hopefully they make sure that the console version of FAR CRY 3 is as close to the quality of the PC version of FAR VRY 3.

I also agree with some of you on the fact that they should release a DEMO or a BETA of FAR CRY 3 on all platforms to keep gamers interested and show us the improvements they've made as well as giving them our feedback on suggestions, and problems that we are seeing.

Holy ****. Who cares. The game will still be hitting every other commercial break on most Channels, even stuff like Nickelodeon for Christ sake. The game will do well. The game is getting polished and fixed with a nice coat of paint. Stuff like new UI and stuff like that is probably getting fixed. The game will be great. CoD drones are even starting to leave the franchise because they have noticed that the game is just re hash after re hash. I wish I had hope in CoD but I don't. If one of the devs said, "Hey! Lets fix bugs and add innovative ideas, instead of just adding new graphics and maps to the game, and delay it to fix it all!" Then I would be so surprised.
Last note, who gives a F**K what the graphics look like on console, they look FU**ING FINE.
