Hey lads,


Ok, so I want to discuss Outfit customization in AC3. I really liked the customization in ACB and ACR. Will we see this return in AC3?
In the media of AC3, we've seen Connor in white and blue robes.
However, I was browsing through images of Connor on Google Images when I noticed some pictures of Connor wearing brown and red robes.
Maybe Connor will be able to wear different outfits or we will be able to dye his robes different colours.
I am pretty sure that some special editions of AC3 contain special outfits.

I was also wondering if armour will make a return in AC3. Armour was not common in the American Revolution as far as I know, but maybe we will see some leather Native American armour or something of that type.

Let me know your thoughts on that guys. I appreciate all replies and posts.

I want it to be aesthetic changes only. Armour does make the game easier, and it's unsuited to the time period. Yet, I love customizing the clothing of video game characters. It's fun. So yeah, hopefully there's different outfits and the ability to dye our clothes.

Mr. Hutchinson has stated that costume changes will be purely cosmetic, and comparable to that of previous AC games. Armor is a different story, and I'm not quite sure if he has said anything about it. I'm sure there will be a suitable replacement, but it won't be the traditional armor we've seen in previous installments.

They've also shown him in a different outfit when he's captaining his ship.

And I hope there's a special secret unlockable outfit based on the famous pirate Captain Jacques Moineau.

No, that last part wasn't serious, but a cookie for anyone who gets the reference.

One thing that confuses me a bit is that they showed Connor wearing the captain outfit in the E3 demo, but as far as we know, it's a pre-order exclusive only available in certain editions. Why would Ubisoft show a public demo making everyone think they'll be able to unlock the outfit in the game if it's actually not going to be available to everyone? (Not for a few months, anyway.)

He will likely be wearing it when captain of the ship. The pre-order bonus is likely just to unlock the ability to wear it everywhere else.

That makes sense. I assumed that wearing it on the ship for the first time would unlock the ability to wear it everywhere else, but I guess it's more like the Florence Noble skin for Ezio.

hopefully they'll keep the robe dye system in... that will be enough for me. but sooner or later they will have to get rid of the assassins robes...
