Reset multiplayer account/game? | Forums

Alright this is a question I'm asking for KINGmatan here.

The thing is, he would like to reset his multiplayer account. Basically completely restart from new. He would like to go through all the levels (up to 40) again and win all the cars again, because he liked the game so much. Also he told me (since he's a pretty good player) that it would be really fun having "level 0" beside his name but still managing to beat people :P You know - it's like a surprise efffect "ooh look at that newbie, let's smash him" FAIL

He basically wants to start a new multiplayer game - is this possible anyhow? If not, is there a way to make a new account?

Hehe thanks man, but I don't think restarting my progress / creating a new account will solve the multiplayer freeze bug - the product key is still connected to my current account (which is bugged), and restarting progress won't really help either (I think).. but you know I got nothing to lose, besides that I worked hard on earning what I have :P I'm level 29 (according to Driver Club) and after that game stopped working...

Well I was trying to make it look like if you actually wanted to RESTART multiplayer and not like if you had an issue with the game Because you know, if Ubisoft finds out you have an issue, they won't help you.

I saw Ubi-Mush was already online and she answered to some other threads but not to this one, so I think it's your best bet dude :S

The problem seems to be related to how many friends you have, 17 or more seems to cause these issues. Those who are having issues can you confirm if you do have more than 17 friends?

Please be aware the developers are taking this issue very seriously and are still investigating. I will update you when I know more.

I can confirm although I'm not sure if it's 17 or 15. But I know someone who's limit is 25. I had this happen to me and asked another player to remove me, to be able to remove other players and add him again.

Also - this is not really a problem, we just shouldn't add so many friends.

But KINGmatan's game is basically "blocked" he can't access multiplayer at all and he can't delete them and he can't contact the players either in any way. Also when we spoke I think he told me he has online like 8 friends or something (I may be wrong).

The easiest thing to solve this (for now) would be just to reset his account.

He then will be able to play multiplayer and see how fantastic it is, and therefore recommend it to all his friends who will buy DSF aswell and give Ubisoft their precious money

I got only 1 or 2 friends, and my game freezes online too. And btw Ubimush, you need to do something about the fellas in support. They sent me another "solved" (3 now I think) on my support ticket, without even answering them. What kind of support is that? They are NOT taking it seriously if you ask me!

And i havn't so many friends added i think only about 10...
Hope that Ubi-Mush is saying the truth and they'll fix that

Thank you for the info, Ubi-Mush. I'm happy to hear you're taking this issue seriously.
I don't remember how many friends I had because that was a few months ago, BUT, I can tell that first I had the friend list bug - Once I added a friend and my game crashed, and then every time I tried to enter the friends list my game crashed. I tried a fixing method by adding friends to the blacklist (you have to remember their names), and then deleting some friends to solve the problem, but while I was deleting friends my game suddenly crashed and since then every time I'm trying to enter multiplayer, it freezes about a second after I enter the menu.

Please solve this issue, Ubisoft. I want to get what I paid for.

I have a new info! I kept accepting people (don’t know why, when we know it’s gonna crash our games) and I now have 19 friends. My limit seems to have raised now, or maybe there’s no limit at all for me anymore — I don’t know. Maybe I’ll continue adding people, and if it crashes I can always ask some people to remove me!

Wait, how on Earth is that not a problem? A bug inducing limit to friend capacity, and even having a friend limit not mentioned anywhere in game or the manual seems like a pretty serious problem to me.

Once I've finished singleplayer I'll patch my game up manually and see if mine works. Pity about the Uplay updating failing, but I can deal with it for now as long as I have my singleplayer- that was always my favourite part of D:SF anyway.
