peopol peopol !! don't fight .... the ones that dont want vehicles aren't dumb , they just dont understand !if u don't want vehicles in ur map .........DON'T PUT THEM !!if u don't like vehicles period ................DON'T USE THEMif u cant stand seeing a vehicle................LEAVE THE MATCHbesides ubi said that they have this new feature thats going to make it most likely that u play in a good map right ? so if has vehicles or no vehicles ...its a good map PERIOD !!!! so ur most proabably gonna have fun ! and also vehicles support team work cause the driver is driving and the turret guy and is shooting ppl around him so they both could live and get to the destination safely !PS: the people that don't want vehicles are probably cod fanboys or they haven't played any farcry well enough to realize how important they are and how much they stand up and be unique .

Leave the match because of seeing a vehicule... You're going a bit far. Personally I don't care but those who would quit the match just because there are vehicules are quite strange...

Kswoosh - I know of the name from stuff I read on the Xbox forums maybe 5 years ago, I think in the circles you were in back then everyone knew that name but you are correct I have never been in a match with you - I have joined matches which mintage has been in and also hosted when Plasma has joined as well as some of the NBK and others - I think they only joined because it was maps that came with the game & they needed target practice, this was always on the maps like Hollow Town and whenever the match switched to a User Made Map they simply left.

They do indeed say that you were possibly among the best players at that time on FCIP there was always that debate over on the Xbox Forums which is where most of the clans would call home I guess.
A lot of those teams were organized and I am sure would be good to watch - if FC3 has a dedicated host camera and it is a neutral hosting with a good connection on a balanced map then it could make for a good watch.

Listen though swoosh - saying every map maker is bad is like me saying all clans are cheaters or lag switchers, now that would not go down well with you would it.
Now that there is a name to the posts it is easier to reply without been on the defensive because someone with 4 posts to their name looks to me like a person with a grudge and using a second account to cause disruption.

I remember the Tournament back then and the map also Embassy by Toastman, I think that was a Genesis Device Tournament - I remember the TEC crew, pusher and Crazy Kiwi who played and made maps, very nice and friendly people.

I would agree the map was not symmetrical and had some areas where players could get trapped in, the comments to the map can be viewed here
But the map can't have been that bad because DOGZ MR BLUE remade it and added in his own changes, something which clan players could have done any day of the week, the majority of map makers would have made changes to their maps if it would have helped but I believe that a large percentage of clan players avoided the User Made Maps anyway so it would be wrong to say every map was bad unless you had seen every map which would be impossible.

I think what the clans wanted and what the others wanted were possibly light years away from each other - I liked a quick fix run and gun style, and often ended up been killed as much as I killed others, I did not think back then about offense and defense and was more of a lone wolf in a team, i generally got to the sample a lot but rarely got it back, we are talking about 5 or 6 years ago here.

There are quite a few clan players who make maps like DTW Dirty Harry aka Bob Holiday, there was HS VIP
The TEC's had The Pusher who made several maps on FCIP and there were the DOGZ, Mr Blonde Mr Blue Disisdavro I think some of NBK also made maps. (CBK rings a bell but that is going back a while now, if I got the letters correct I remember them joining user made maps)

I hear a lot of what you are saying for the competitiveness of the matches you want to be in but can you also understand that some can play that way on their own maps but not in ranked matches and they can still have a good time all the same.
clik13 were one group that played an excessive amount on STS mode generally on User Made Maps.

I remember thinking could our website cater for these clans, I even did a Question and Answer based Interview with TROGDOR 686 FcM back in 2008 which you can view HERE

As for the No.1 player when FCIP first came out in the first year and on User Made Maps I would say that Bluefire or maybe bluefire101 was the top player I was in matches with but that was never on ranked - he would grab a user made map and leave, the next day he would host it or join another match in it and would have learned where everything was.

To be honest I do not think me and you will ever agree because you just see the competitive side where I see that people can and do use the editor as a way of not just making maps which is their choice.

As for the comments on the Escape / Course maps you made, I am unsure what makes you think I will be playing those in multiplayer, I have to get the makers of those maps to hold my hand and walk me through because I generally struggle with the puzzles and if there are too many jumps to navigate I often leave - I was known as one of the worst course players on FCIP but have since made a few maps on PS3 that are easy for beginners like me.

We just have different opinions and views over the game and how it can be played, you don't make maps and I don't play in a competitive clan.

what im trying to say is that people who don't want vehicles have no excuse for not wanting it !they dont know how fun vehicles are .i'm just giving them the answer , that if they don't want vehicles they could simply leave the match but the people who want vehicles would suffer less fun !!!!!!!and its gonna be most likely to play in a good map sooooooo with or without vehicles its a good map period !

I only have one point to counter all of your points, and its what's causing all of this uproar.

It's hard to believe that a map editor that is clearly promoting freedom and choice, only to hinder freedom and choice.

Its important to understand what kind of freedom exists here.

If you are given watercolours to paint a painting that will go on display at a watercoulour gallery, you are free to create whatever you like, however bad or good, whatever you choose; but you cannot use oil paint. a better analogy is in FCIP and FC2 we could make any dessert we wanted. we were given a ton of ingredients and we could make cookies or pies or cakes...just depends on what we wanted to eat or what we felt like making. the quality of those desserts varied but we were able to make what we wanted or make what sounded good....the choice of desserts was ours.

In FC3 MASSIVE has come in and said "We have all tried your desserts but we only like Pie so from now on you are only allowed to make pie since that is our favorite!".
obviously we are happy we still have the ability make a dessert but why force us to only make pies based on it being your favorite? maybe I hate pie? maybe I'm in the mood for cake? maybe I just thought up the BEST cookie recipe ever and I wanted to make some and share with my friends? maybe I don't want to ALWAYS eat pie? and even for people that love pie, eventuallly it would be nice to have an ocasional cookie or cake, right?

NOPE not in FC3...You're gonna make pies and you're going to like it because MASSIVE says so!
