    Because Rush has so many great bass lines competing for the same spot?

    Aren't you being a bit premature?

    Here's another great Rush bass line: Leave That Thing Along - Rush

    I also like Red Barchetta.

    Here's another great straight rock groove: Motorhead - Hawkwind

    You could argue he isn't the greatest bass player, but Lemmy is still awesome. Mostly for killing neighbouring lawns after moving in.

    Yes, Rush has a lot of great basslines, but YYZ is considered by a large number of bassists to be one of, if not the best rock bass composition ever.

    I am going to say Rush: The Trees or Soundgarden: Spoonman. Just wondering how do you share those videos for songs on here?

    1. copy the YouTube URL

    2. click the "Insert Video" button

    3. paste the YouTube URL into the dialog box

    Here's the bbcode (it uses the "video" tag):
    PHP Code:
    [video=youtube;o8vBDET3kbI]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8vBDET3kbI[/video]

    On the Rush Documentary, Beyond the Lighted Stage, a lot of professional bassists talk about how YYZ is surpassed by La Villa Strangiato.
