My fault.
I was having a good game and then some bug happened in the new software that I am testing. Microsoft Windows 8 Release Preview keeps locking up on Chessmaster 10th Edition for some reason. Anyways, I was having a pretty good game against the computer ... you know one of those days that you can never get back? Well, that's me today!hehe Actually, I am in MacBook Pro mode. The operating system that I am using is Mac OS X 10.6.6; Under VirtualBox, the new Windows handles CMX badly unfortunately. I thought I was going to be able to play a few nice games while listening to my favorite tracks. I guess not. hehe Oh well, the score that I am at currently is in order of strength:
1. I can achieve a threefold draw at master level with many take-backs.
2. I can achieve 2026 Elo with Luke once so far in a good game while I was in complete focus.
3. I actually won a 1301 Elo game with Elijah on my Xbox. It is my highest actual win.
4. My average right now is between 900 and 1000.
5. For 5-minute-per-side chess I can do somewhere around 857.
...and last year I managed a 1 rating with bullet chess. haha
You can consider me at 0 seeing I only play machines. hehe

Trying it again, I was able to manage and struggle through a horrible lagging hour long game. The rating was at 1600, and the computer was pretty slick. I thought I could complicate the situation and have enough time to develop my plan. Unfortunately, the computer broke through my defenses and had a few plans of its own. The lesson for me that I could at least take away from this is that I have to be humble for what I have. Thank you to everyone for following along. If you have been checking the board. There is a CassieKNguyen. I am planning on one day having a daughter with that name. It is still me. I thought that maybe buying another Chessmaster 10th Edition for the PC would give me access to the internet online play. Unfortunately, it seems the online play is gone for good? So now I have 3 legit copies of Chessmaster 10th Edition. haha Oh well, I guess I must really like this game. One for my dad, one for my daughter, and one for myself!

I fixed the problem so far.
I decided to install Microsoft Windows 8 Release Preview directly on the Intel architecture. This just means that I am no longer using virtualization. The positive outcome is that the system is a lot smoother and responds beautifully. Unfortunately, my MacBook Pro (early 2011) has a light sensor that causes the pre-release version to display in a dim mode all the time. Although it might not be such a bad thing when the right board is chosen. For instance, I chose "old paper" because I would like to think that I am an old man who is making good choices for my life. In any case, I am trying to set up an atmosphere where I have learned my lesson for the very last time and just enjoy life. I hope I have accomplished that. However, I am unsure since life is complex. Anyways, I played Chessmaster 10th Edition for the PC on Microsoft Windows 8 Release Preview at the 1600 level today. It was a great game! I am actually starting to like enjoying playing until the very end. Normally, I would resign, however, I wanted my virtual opponent to have the satisfaction of checkmating me. I also had a slight hope that maybe it would be lenient and lose. haha Oh well, here is the game for anyone who is interested... [Event "Chessmaster 10th Edition Rated Game"]

I tried at a lower Elo on my Microsoft Xbox dated 2000-2004. I finally managed to beat another personality at 1036. I am so happy! I have been trying hard to win instead of just draw. I guess it is either getting better or playing many times gives better odds. This is only Class E, however, I am proud of this game.

Today at approximately 12:25 A.M. Central Standard Time on June 20 2012 Wednesday, I managed to draw by agreement on the laptop at master level (2404). I could not have done it without having faith that it might one day be possible. Thank you to my father and my mother for bringing me into this world so I can enjoy Chessmaster 10th Edition this day.
