Thread: Female Characters? | Forums

  1. #91
I support this idea...partially, me, I like seeing playable female characters in action games, it makes the game more acceptable for part of the community that enjoy that kind of thing.

-Female characters could be more agile, and move quickly/silently through the battlefield, the males in GRFS seem to jump down ridges/over obstacles in slow motion.

-But in order to move quickier, they'd need to use lighter weaponry, like the standard assault rifles/SMGs available in the game, with the exception of Shotguns/PDWs/MGs/UB attachements.

-They could hack objectives/enemies a LITTLE BIT quickier than male soldiers, given that they've received special training to develop their concentration and focus on the battlefield.

-Female soldiers could have more melee attack styles, like hand-to-hand combat, but the player cannot be under fire from other enemy soldiers while doing so.

I'm sure Ubisoft would do a good job balancing female soldiers, if they ever added them,

(But I'd certainly hesitate to hit an enemy female soldier in the head with a melee attack, it wouldn't feel right to me. :/)

no its a bad idea not realistic, if they have women they better make them slower and weaker with less stamina / carrying ability - this is just based on watching the olympics

Or they could cook great steaks that would keep the team ready for battle.

Really? since when the women are superior to men?
If there are going to be rule 63 it should be just about it, female versions of the male characters, and nothing else.

I think the option is missing 'cause of the gutting the game received after 2010.

Well, the point of this thread isn't to prove who's better or promote sexism. It's only to bring up the fact that having the option to use female characters that are EXACTLY like the males characters with tweaks to models, new textures and voice overs, is preferred by a lot of people. I don't care who's "better" All I care about is having the option available for myself and others that what to use it. I don't need to names the games so far that have included both genders as an option and not heard a peep about it. Also, past Ghost Recon games have had female characters as an option for multiplayer, why shouldn't this one receive the DLC that will add the option for us that want it? I don't care about what the "Real Military" does, female characters wouldn't be something super amazing and groundbreaking, it would be nice to have and I'm sure many players would appreciate the OPTION.

They don't need their own classes, abilities, camos, hats, or guns, I just want to shoot things with a female character as my avatar of choice. No advantages, and no disadvantages. It's too easy to make a case for the Ghost and Bodarks to have female operatives working under them as well as males.

Agree'd. There shouldn't be a penalty/privilege for being whatever sex you want. I do, however, think different animations for the female characters.

guys. . . seriously? Are we still arguing about what ifs and impossibilities? This is a game. We play them to escape from reality for a couple of hours each day. If you really wanted realism then please join the military. So in submission can we please for the love of god can we just get these awesome gals the characters they deserve?
