I think as long as you aren't detected - You should be fine. Go ahead and M&E. But if you're in a shootout, to me that's when M&E starts to become god-mode. (Not that I use M&E either way, I'm just saying)
    Agreed!

I never use it but honestly don't mind if it's a tool for some players -- I just believe the game shouldn't be built to encourage it or if it is, the guard placement should be celeverly placed to encourage both classic "ghost" stealth as well as KIM.

By 'feet flat on the ground' I mean your avatar should be standing, or equivalent.
Moving is fine. It's hanging from pipes that get's me.

(did I really need to explain that?)

Ohh, well Jazz got it. His idea is 1000 times better then what I suggested.

Well, making the feature adopt with the difficulty system and Jazz suggested to change the AI placement (through the difficulty system) which is a lot better.

Nah, that wouldn't be a solution. Then you would have some buttons you never would use on highest difficulty. It's optional after all, I just hope there won't be any AI templates for M&E or as it's called now KIM.

Although I do think that the M&E mechanic should stay and is a vital element for panther style, however I do want them to remove it on the highest difficulty. Just to make it a hardcore SC mode. And call it realistic. Even though M&E does helpout with strategy when it is implemented and not overpowering. You cant just say that youre fine with the game as long as baddies are bunched up.... Its not like you have a choice sometimes. The mechanic should work just as well with guys bunched up as it would without them being bunched up.

This is why I think there should be a mode that unlocks after you beet the game on hardest difficulty. This mode will be called "realistic" or "The ghost operative" or something of that sort. THis would make the game as close to classic SC games as physically possible. So slower climbing, slower pipe climbing, slower running,(but still realistic), very limited ammo(like almost nothing). Night Vision and Heat Vision, no air support, and no anything, and no M&E(ESPECIALLY!!!). It would be like a lone wolf mode and you would have the exact same campaign except it would be as if playing an original SC game. For those interested in playing it, then they could after they beat the game for an ultimate challenge. Maybe even get an achievement.

I THINK that this is BEST way they could satisfy fans, but they would have to put some thought into it ontop of that. Not just remove levels or layers from the game. And the mpost important part is that they wouldnt have to change anything in the game. Just ADD it, and it would satisfy sooo many hardcore fans.

i think it should be available from the start. It wouldn't be too realistic if youve seen the levels before

I agree with Michaelanjello. This is sort of what Hitman Absolution is doing, which has the instinct feature that shows enemies patrol that makes the game easier. This feature can be turned off on higher difficulty. A mode similar to that for SC BL where mark and execute can be turned off.

I had a weird dream during my nap where Sam "tagged" and killed his enemies exactly like how Iron Man did in the movies. lol!

The thing I was talking about is very similar to what Max Payne did as well. If you beat the game on hardest dificculty, you unlock the classic hardcore max payne mode where besides the new graphics and upgraded movement, the game plays like the first 2. Theres no softlock and you have extremely minimal health along with the fact that you have to find all your painkillers and they're very scarce.
