the upcoming rocksmith bundle, why is it eletric guitar and not a bass guitar ?

    before i get to that,
    "http://www.amazon.com/Rocksmith-Guitar-Exclusive-Edition-Playstation-3/dp/B0077RMHCS/ref=tag_dpp_lp_edpp_ttl_in"

why is it 350 dollars when i got it for 189 at the walmart when it first came out. did the les paul jr go up in price ?.
    __

I am looking forward to buying the rocksmith bass edition ps3 game as it will give me another chord, i won't have to download the bass adition dlc.
but I don't want to buy it for it isnt' a bass guitar edition it is just your old eletric les paul edition.

I think for 2012 you should make it bass guitar edition as many of us have no idea what to get for a bass guitar and so having a true bass guitar edition for ps3 would be so much more better then having another guitar package that is the same les paul jr (perhaps if it was a differnt guitar i might be interested ) the same old stuff just a bass guitar ps3 edition in it.

so i am requesting a bass guitar package !!

the argurment for that is the eletric guitar packages out there should be for those want eletric guitar, and you can advertise the bass guitar for those who want to make use of the bass dlc.
sure it was cool to set up a guitar to be a bass guitar simulated , but it sure isn't the same as getting at true bass guitar package.

is it because there are no bass guitars that are quality but also made for the bare essential poor like those who liked didnt' mind the les paul jr ?

You could get an Epiphone EB-O, it's cheap enough, but the tone for some is not the greatest, (that's purely a matter of taste however). Buying a bass separate from a bundle will actually save you money in the long run. I bought the game at Amazon 70 bucks, paid a hundred for an Epi LP jr. at Sweetwater.com, and ended up saving about a hundred bucks over the bundle, which was about $270 at the time. You could also look into getting a Squier Vintage Modified Jaguar Special (decent enough basses for the price, about 160 - 190 bucks) which would still be as cheap or cheaper than any bundle Ubisoft would release.

The answer is simple: The new game is not bass only, it's bass and guitar. You can play the bass parts on guitar, but you can't play guitar parts on bass - ergo logic dictates a guitar bundle so you can play the whole game. As C.Linton says, you'd be better off buying an inexpensive bass of choice.

Cord = the wire you use to send signals from your guitar to an amp (or game console)

CHord = three or more notes played simultaneously.

You'll only get one CORD with the new RS release. You'll get hundreds of CHORDS.

    yes

well you see with the bass content being released it is not longer "The new game is not bass only, it's bass and guitar. You can play the bass parts on guitar, but you can't play guitar parts on" that it is not logical to have a bass guitar bundle that woudl be in walmart like the guitar package was.
i think ubisoft is missing the boat.

I think you got over charged there c.linton perhaps i got lucky for i got it for 80 bucks cheaper then that canadian at the local walmart. and there was a 5 copies there over christmas last year. the first question/comment was really did the les paul jr go up,, why is that bundle when it is exactly the same bundle as before be priced 350 !! ,
by buying the bundle at the regular price of 199 i didn't have to worry about paying shipping for a guitar to be sent to me, and it was quite convient.

but going back to bass guitar i think the bass guitar bundle is a logical next step for those who already brought the eletric guitar bundle and do not have a bass guitar. they could of done a limited run like half of the original guitar bundle.

is one of the reasons for no bass guitar bundle that bass guitars cost more then eletric guitar ?

I'm don't get why people would even want a bundle. It seems to me that you can get a much guitar separately for the money you would save buy just buying the non-bundle version, especially if you go used.
My pick-up toggle switch has 3 modes: Swank, Extra Swank, and Super Swank

Yeah... There are FAR more guitar players than bass players... You can find a bass that's likely better than anything the Ubi would be able to bundle for less price... and Ubi has already sold a million plus copies of RS in the US - so why would they package a bass when most people are going to buy the add on DLC and get their own bass?

This is just some idiot trying to sell it for above msrp. See where it says "ships from and sold by nmaster8". That means its not directly from amazon, its from a third party. They can try to sell it for whatever they want, but it'd be dumb to buy from them.

I bought the bundle originally from best buy and it was $199. This is the same bundle. You'd be better off getting a guitar and the game separately, particularly since I've seen the game for as low as $30 new now (fry's on memorial day). Even at their highest Epi Jr.s are $130 and the game was $70, so essentially you were just getting a free strap, guitar cable (as well as the usb cable), and some rocksmith picks.
