And Andre...I know each game has it's own theme but there is no theme for Splinter Cell. Every James Bond movie has a theme -- GoldenEye by Tina Turner from GoldenEye, You Know My Name by Chris Cornell from Casino Royale, Live and Let Die by Paul McCartney and Wings from Live and Let Die, etc. They also always had the James Bond Theme from the original film, Dr. No.

SC doesn't have that which seems so odd since it's a spy story and almost every spy story has a theme song: Bond, Mission Impossible, Get Smart even. That's all I mean. It doesn't really matter to much since the music is always good but it just seems a little odd.

The old gen had similar soundtracks. They were slightly different mixed up though. I like the Soundtrack of the old gen version of DA a lot. Here is the Shanghai Infiltration in a old gen mix for the Underground Subway Station mission. Very intense, cannot stop to hear at those masterpieces.

Yes, I will continue. I restarted the project recently. You will see more later down the road. I actually hope I can get the whole series done til Blacklist comes out but I am not sure about that.

WORD UP TO OP I was just thinking about this earlier, SCB NEEDS Amon Tobin. I am working my way through SC (SAR) and I realized one reason it hasn't aged well, there's like NO ambiance music! The way music is implemented in CT is PERFECT. There's ambiance music that gets more intense when the atmosphere becomes tense, it works incredibly at helping to support an immersive environment. Chemistry chemistry chemistry it's all about the right mixtures and remembering not everything has to be developed as black/white, there's always grey area to work with.

I think SAR has the best ambiance and mood music -- it's a lot of soft, spooky sounds, perfect for an op in the dead of night. The only problem is that the music doesn't dynamically change -- no closer then ever music, it goes from the standard music, to searching music, to fight music.

SAR definitely feels dated. I think the route CT took is much better when considering the need for a more intense feeling, Closer Than Ever is one of the greatest additions to Splinter Cell. It's such a small thing but WOW does it really make you feel like you're THERE ya know? Nuances that make sense can make such a huge difference. That is how you innovate... the little things really matter.

I still play SAR and it doesnt feel dated for me at all ,of course CT is even better because of the freedom and the advanced features.
