If you have 2 stables no matter which one you click on it is going to show that you have 4/8 boxs. all horses will be shown in both barns. The first 4 are in the first barn the last 4 will be in your newest barn. The new barn does not give you any open stalls. you have to expand to unlock the 5th stall. Also the nursing barn is for retired horse's only and works the same way as the stable.

My stables and nursery are working fine at the moment, thanks again.
There are still a few other kinks, for example it doesn't always count when I visit a neighbour to help out pulling weeds etc., and I sometimes get a popup that says something like 'darn this building can't be placed here' when I'm not trying to place a building at all.

My problem is that it only shows one horse in both barns the other three in both barns show cobwebs. I have another horse showing in the retired barn. Are you saying that having two barns does not give me eight stalls? I have five horses, total. Do I need then to unlock stalls ?

Neptune had been the only horse showing in the barn. I sent Mars over the rainbow and bred Neptune. Now the only horse showing in my barn is the new horse Mercury.
