Question Far Cry (legacy) Blue Ground

This is for the original (legacy) Far Cry v1.4.1405

Running latest nVidia drivers v301.42 for my GeForce 7900GS 512mb card.

When outdoors, in various areas, the ground is a semi-transparent light blue.

I have tried various tweaks from TweakGuides but did not find a fix Can anyone point me to a fix?

Hello, I have exact same problem. My far cry worked perfectly on the highest video settings until I upgraded from XP to windows 7 64 bit on my machine. Now everywhere is blue. I've tried all the different suggestions online such as cumulative 1.4 patch but nothing works (except setting to the lowest vid settings). Any suggestions?

    YES. Absolutely no help.

Neither was nVidia support. The person who answered couldn't even tell me what nVidia settings would have this effect.

NOTE: There is an issue with my Splinter Cell (1, 2, 3) that has to do with nVidia drivers. All 3 games include spot lights that are suppose to cast light-beams you can see (did so with older nVidia drivers) but since the nVidia drivers v200+ the light-beams are NOT displayed.
