PS3 Home E3 2012 AC Merchandise Biased treatment? | Forums

Today, i went in to PS3 Home, and spotted an interesting event. The PS3 Home E3 2012 Event Space. There's an interesting quest which pushes you to visit every single virtual display vendors within to unlock some freebies. One of them includes unlocking Connor's Tomahawk from AC3. As a big fan of the Assassin's Creed Series (Bought every single AC game released on PS3, PC, iOS, PSP Platform), I'm deeply disappointed that the Assassin's Creed Avatar/Outfit is not available to anyone else other than if you're located in NA/EU. I may sound immature at this point, but i feel that with Internet as the platform, shouldn't content be made internationally available at the same time and not biased towards other regions?

While I'm not even remotely involved with the organisation of this sort of promotion, I would guess that in some cases it happens because each region is given a share of the promotional merchandise and left to decide for themselves how to distribute it. While some regions will choose events such as the one you describe to distribute, other regions might choose to distribute through preferred retails outlets or by other means.
