One of the best thing about SCC is the traversal of it, you got all these high places, pipes ((and hopefully vents in SCB)) you can use to be above your enemy.

Ubisoft... please add in a true variable speed system with an integrated sound system and if you have the time...other abilities, gadgets, and things from the first SC games such as split jump, etc.
First off yes I own all the SC games on release date and I have played the legacy games much more than once and completed them with a perfect score multiple times, with the exception being SCC. I am very well aware of the options available to the players you mentioned in SCC, but the game to me will never be a SC game, it just does not have that feel(you know?). As for the points you mentioned about killing enemies fast in a row and so on. First of all, yes you could do that without M&E in the previous games, before they tried to turn Sam into Jack Baur or Jason Bourne, it just took a tiny bit of skill instead of pressing a "make something awesome button" that was (according to Ubi) responsible for SvM being takes out of conviction. I have A LOT of reasons not to like that particular game and again as I said in my original post, you had some options to go for a more action oriented gameplay in the legacy games, with the exceptions of some missions. The melee part I agree with you on, as I always thought it(CQC/hand-to-hand) could be better,
You see what worries me is that the same thing that happened with Bioware will happen here, if it did not already with SCC. I used to be a big fan of Bioware and by that I mean I bought all there games ON RELEASE DATE (just like the SC series and many other games) That is how big of a fan I was. What Bioware did with ME2 was not just split the community, no, they brought in another community to their original fans, a community that were introduced to the ME series and Bioware overall through ME2, which I see as a problem, they even had the audacity to say "we want the COD fans" which is something i still have a hard time believing was said.
So you see I am worried that if that did not already happen with SCC, then with SCB, Ubi will attract non-SC fans and in the future, just like what happened with Bioware, these new fans will have more of a say in what happenes to the series, where it is headed, than the SC fans and this worries me A LOT. The e3 demo probably attracted many non-Sc fans, who probably will think that this is AC in modern times etc
JaRuTo Don't worry about it, I think I can get what you are saying after a couple of reads, plus your response was probably the nicest thing anyone has ever said on the internet.
Edit: Just to clarify, Shobhit, I have nothing against you or your opinion, I actually agree with you on somethings, it is just that I am worried that the SC series is just another series that have become no more.
Q4 is definitely yes.
Q5 that is something I loved about the SC series, that you never feel like a tank. You are unstoppable, but not because you are the Hulk with guns, because you are Sam Fisher. Sam's vulnerability is part of SC, just like the Thief series, as well as some other games.
Q7 when I was talking about linearity, I was not talking about narrative, I said progression, customization etc. What I meant by that is if the missions dictated how you would go about completing it, you take away player choice, the same player choice that was present in the legacy games, again with the exception of some missions where you could not kill etc. Linear progression and customization( I only brought this up to make an example, not to say that this is present in SC) is when you do not have a character build in a game, one that works out because of the way you play, your character class, your equipment etc, but instead you level up your character, equipment etc in a very linear manner, meaning you get a weapon, then its 1st upgrade and then the 2nd and so on, then you move to the 2nd weapon etc by the end you are not choosing what is best for you, but what is the final in the game (ME2 had this system and it was horrible)

Do you like my ideas for Splinter Cell brand so far, or are too hardcore to implement them?
I have another idea.

Which makes the sonar goggles very important for performing occlusion-based stealth.
Yeah, that’s right. And this is another way in which the game has a lot of depth to it. We haven’t talked much about it yet, because frankly we don’t have that much time to discuss it, but we have an entire economy system that is shared across all of the game modes, whether it’s singleplayer, co-op or Spies versus Mercs, and a customisation system for all of the weapons and all of the gadgets and even the suit itself that’s shared across all of those modes. And what that means is that the vision systems are things that are being upgraded. You’re starting out with one set of goggles, but you’re able to constantly refine and add new layers to it as you wish that are going to support a particular style of gameplay.
So upgrading from night vision, to thermal vision, to sonar vision?
Exactly. But they’re cumulative, in the sense that you can overlay these things. And we don’t want to give away all the goodies, but the people who are interested in playing in a stealthier fashion are going to be able to make the customisation choices that will best support that.
