This is how long Ghost Recon Future Soilder has been delayed below are copy's of news articles from the gaming world Let's hope Ubisoft DOES Re-lease
After Ubisoft's first-half 2010-11 financial results, it has been revealed that both Driver: San Francisco and Ghost Recon: Future Soldier have been delayed until the next fiscal year - somewhere between April 2011 to March 2012.
Driver: San Francisco originally was scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2011. This will be the second time Ghost Recon: Future Soldier has been delayed, as the game originally was supposed to be ready for Christmas this year. The first delay pushed the game back to the first quarter of 2011.
This I found today (below)
There's a very cyclical element to game release announcements. Often times, a company will announce a title at a big press event, such as next month's E3, which they intend to release during the following holiday season. Then, time passes and we don't hear too much until the springtime announcement that the title has been pushed back to avoid the crowds before it's eventually released sometime between January and March the following year.
The latest victim of the cycle is Ubisoft's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. Ubisoft officially announced today that the latest Ghost Recon title will be pushed back to the first three months of 2012 to avoid a holiday season full of competition, likely including that of another Ubisoft property, Assassin's Creed: Revelations.
This is nothing new for the Windows platform from some game publishers, very often the PC version gets extended development time, or put on the back burner (take your pick really, hahaha ), this can be for several reasons, like ... sudden detected severe bugs/glitches/Issues with certain operating systems, 3D development, graphic card driver issues, and last but not least ...the console is the leading platform now days. The same happened with max payne 3, console first PC second.
