Thread: Why no Dedicated server? | Forums

  1. #11
I hope it's not as bad as Max Payne 3 connections. :/ I get stuck at the match loading screen just about every other match and have to restart the game. Anyway, the reason developers rarely do dedicated anymore is because consoles. It's too much effort for them to do it right for PC gamers, since they've already got a junk online system that's good enough for console gamers, why not use the same one for PCs? We don't have to put any extra effort or money into it. If no one ever bought a console game again, developers would be scrambling to make dedicated servers for us. lol

They need to call EA....................BFBC 2 and BF 3 dedicated servers work awesome! Even the old Medal of Honor works great with dedicated servers and still servers packed in that game!

In 2 months the game will be on sale for $29........................but.................... ....no whisper servers to find!

Actually, the PC versions of both GRAW1 and 2 were made by the now-defunct GRIN studios:

Must have dedicated servers, and a list of servers cool, even if it don't has a lan option, servidres dedidados will increase the life of the game for a long time, if go only to stay in the game matchmaking, will be that neither the multiplayer ME3, lag, after a while it gets hard to find players, I'll play with at least 300 lag, that in a FPS game is very dirty, I'm not asked to activate the LAN, I am asked not to do away with the game, because for me GRFS the game I was expecting more this year! there are many people who will buy, regardless of playing a day or two months, the game costs money, many people can throw money away, others do not!, If the game has a dedicated server, I guarantee at least 4 games so the game launch, even if i have to buy the official dedicated server tools.

I'd buy the game on steam, I'll wait for the game launch, I know that you found a good solution for this, now watch a video that we will see in the computer version of GRFS!

    GRFS going fallen!

    battlefield 3 premium WINS!!!!

If this is true then I still have time to cancel all of my orders for my family. I pre-ordered 4 copies for my immediate family with one being for a server for my old GR clan....The Medic Station...yes we are still around. I will pass the word that this GR isn't what we were waiting for.....man that's depressing.

Sorry lancer but this is not a matter of IFs,this is a fact, already confirmed several times by community managers and developers: no dedicated servers, not even server browsers, period.

Thanks for the info. As you can see I have been a member forsome time and I have never been so disappointed....well not entirely true. Itseems they have lost touch with what made GR in the first place, just like theydid in the GRAW series. My orders have been cancelled. It turned out to be avery disappointing day for the clans of the old GR.
