Disabling Fortune Edition | Forums

I bought this game on Steam today since it was on sale. Played around a bit with the Fortune Edition and came to the conclusion that it was overpowered (even more than the other things from the base game).

Simple solution: Ignore it and dont pick up the weapons, dont ride the quad etc.
However, this does not work since the Quad spawns in locations where there used to be a car.

I don't want quads to spawn here, I want cars to spawn here.

How do I disable Fortune Edition so that I can play the base game?

Don't make me revert back to the disc version. We're living in 2012...

It should be enough to remove, delete or rename the "downloadcontent" folder in the main game directory (..\Far Cry 2\Data_Win32\).

Or just delete it and use standard FC2, or get a decent pc

Getting a decent pc won't disable the DLC though :P

My problem is just the opposite, start up game and get into game, hit escape, click the arrow a few times to get to vehicle upgrades, Unimog and Quad not listed. what does show up is Assault Truck,Buggy,Swamp Boat,Fishing Boat,Jeep Liberty, Jeep Wrangler, Big Truck, and Car.
update: i found a crate with the 3 bonus weapons near the first place you can buy weapons, so :fe vehicles are likely there but unlisted in the upgrade menu
