And Gamedude can testify to the efficiency of the artillery position
It does equal the YAK-3 and the ME109 so the DS520 isin't too bad and I 100% agree with you on the bunkers:
Yesterday, I go onto Operations and decide I'll try the Maginot line (Fail in about 8 minutes last time). I place two Maginot bunkers in the front of my base and two Fortified positions behind my base, 3 B1 Bis and I hold off until the nuke arty comes and during it fires and destroy everything! I had to sacrifice all but one supply dump and two secondary HQ's to be able to hole up into my base but I still won !

I would definately agree with everything you just said, but sometimes i feel like i see to many ruse players just waste to much money and time with them. I feel like they are overused in this game to an extent for example i see players just put a random AT bunker when there arent even any armored units on the field yet like what the hell is that, its not serving a purpose,it is doing absoluetly nothing, a random bunker just randomly placed in ur base is just bad. also the scenario you have mentioned above is yes that is a great time for a bunker, very useful and effective and helps control the air and is hard to take down. Great, 20$ well spent. Or securing a flank, yes the bunker isn't serving a purpose in the moment but it's doing its job, securing the flank. that is when you use a bunker when it is able to provide you with a job that isn't covered, or isn't being covered enough.

Some people who like to turtle prepare for a battle of attrition by raping the bunker buttons but it is useful as building trucks moving to secure an area might be too late and you might be ****ed by the time it gets there, or you might have your trucks get strafed, so bunkers being used as a precaution are not always a waste of money, but I agree with the RUSE players raping bunkers thing. Infact, this is such a good debating topic I'm gonna start a thread about it!

Blast the hell out of them with artillery OR, build a massive horde of Shermans and charge.

Bunkers are great to defend against early tank rushes as you don't have to build an anti tank base if your preparing for a counter attack straight after.

I have known people to build bunkers at the opening of my bases at the start of the game and I have not had a clue, I have had my supply trucks and building trucks plus Artilery weapons taken out.

Building bunkers can force your opponet into delaying attack ( If he has or can't afford ) building artilery bombers heavy tanks which gives you that much extra time.

A bad move which n00bs tend to do is focus on just buying bunkers and wasting there money as on there own they are easily counter, If you do build a bunker close to there base I suggest building an armor base ( with recon) to support the bunkers but thats only if you intend on taking the fight to the enemy.
