Wow.

That is... kinda harsh towards the console people. I mean, really harsh. I'm actually pretty much appalled.

Not just at the fact of announcing exclusive content to one platform - implying said content is an apology for that platform's steadfastness in the face of GRFS adversity - without announcing something similar for the other platforms, but also at implying that said content will not be made available for the other platforms at all.

There's a lot of things coming to my mind to say about this, and most do not reflect well on giving exclusive content to any platform, but I will restrain myself to saying that it would be a huge mistake for Ubisoft to decide not to share this content with the other platforms, or offer the consoles their own Free Exclusive Content bundle with comparable content.

At which point I would also like to remind Ubisoft that the PC platform already had more exclusive content available than any other platforms, since they were the only platform that could gain access to ALL pre-order bonuses by purchasing that special Digital Edition. Something console players would have had to make several different purchases to get.

Hey P4NCH0theD0G, as you noted in the post, they are listed as exclusive and have only been announced for the PC.

So yeah, that about sums it up for now.

We pay more on console and we get less (I paid GR FS 80 euros on PS3 with the collector edition), really it's nice to see where are your priorities and how you screw console players like that, oh wait we have the Arctic DLC for 10 euros I totally forgot... Great, thanks.

Next time I will only buy a console exclusive game so I will be sure to have some respect from the dev team.

Before people really start with the content complaints, keep in mind that the PC version is in a dire state right now.

There are many people who are having technical difficulties with the game.
Updates are slow, information comes rarely and we still don't know if we're even getting the Arctic Strike DLC.

So while I do agree that content should be universal, please remember that the PC community isn't exactly healthy atm.

As I said before, I'm pretty sure it's far easier to release such things for PC then jump through hoops for Microsoft and Sony.
Also, this is nothing new. Paid DLC for console players has been free to PC gamers on multiple occasions for different game series.

It sucks for us but... At least someones getting something nice for free.
(Though i'd like someone to pass along the Bodark song to me. There was something about that was just awesome.)

I don't complain about free content - God knows why I should - and I'm happy for the PC people, but Brock's post pretty much states the consoles will not get it.

I am more aggravated by the fact they announced something like this for PC without saying a word about anything comparable for the consoles.
Not even "We are hoping to release similar Free Content for the console versions of GRFS, but do not have an ETA for that yet" or "due to restrictions imposed by Microsoft and Sony we do not know if this will be possible" or SOMEthing. It's a really weird PR move, in my opinion, through its selective nature almost designed to anger select people.

I mean, what do they expect? Whether or not the PCs deserve free content (and I think we all do), saying one platform will get some while ignoring the other platforms entirely, is just asking for a negative backlash from the console community.

Sure the PC guys have had it worse than us, but that doesn't mean our connectivity status has been all peaches and rainbows.

Giving certain platforms exclusive content just serves to further the rift between gamers.

Not to mention night maps sound incredible, and I don't think ill be the only one who is a little pissy if us consolers never get to play them.

Well, I know ima be pissy if we don't get the night maps. I brought up the idea weeks ago and to hear that idea get pushed to pc only is insulting.
