I do agree with you all, Without Mr Ironside's voice... Not Interested.... They killed my favorite game enough. (Second strike was the requirement of FULL Time internet access to play the story..... I am not interest in real time matches with people on the net)

I have purchased every game to date, with every game came hardware Upgrades..... I am done....

not intrested if theres no change

I agree with everyone, especially about Ubisoft wanting to turn out quantity not quality, serioulsy are the game testers just hacks off the street ?? the voice alone would have sent up A HUGE RED FLAG for me. I have bought every game new, been to a few midnight releases as well. UBISOFT pull your heads out of the sand, clean out your ears and listen to your fans, your die hard splinter cell fans and bring back Micheal Ironsides, who is and will always be sam fisher, or I hate to say it tastfully kill him off or retire him permanently, and bring in fresh blood and a new story line, or don't waste our time with this crap,

Sincercely one of your most die hard SC fans,

    -Mike

PS THis is what I wore to the midnight release of conviction

Ok guys I totally feel like you and I might have an solution. I hope it doesn´t sound foolish so I´m just telling you what I have in mind. Eric Johnsons voice is probably already recorded by now and we can´t change him speaking for Sam Fisher in the game, but since we don´t hate Eric Johnson, its probably ok. My idea would be to propose/suggest Ubisoft to make a second audio track with Michael Ironside for the good old Fans of the stealth-series. So Ubisoft would have their motion-capturing game which we all could see and hear, with all recorded simultaneously, and we fans would have Ironside as voice to be satisfied. But to make this idea (if its a good idea in your opinion) work I need your help. So you would have to write in forums, on facebook, twitter, youtube (video suscriptions of SCBL videos) and all the other channels we have to make our voice beeing heard. So if you like the idea spread it throughout every media you are using and maybe it works.
I hope I helped somehow and my idea is not too bad. And I´m thanking everyone who is with me in this.

PS: By the way, nice costume Tac^^

Also we could maybe talk to Mr. Ironside (does anyone have an email adress for fans to write?) and ask him what the deal is, as said some pages before. I think either the voice should be Ironside or the story of Sam Fisher shoul be ended. Lets be realistic, the guy is in his 50s, maybe its time for an other Agent. And i would actually really like Ubisoft to read this and give me their Opinion on what I said. Maybe a webmaster can give it to some developers if thats possible.

    No thought for the fans!

After all the years and Splinter Cell games you would think that the main voice behind the game the Voice of Splinter Cell itself would be intact. It only shows me the straight lack in caring for the fans themselves. You have ruined a perfect franchise Title by doing this. When this happens in a movie or Show it is recognized right away and nine time out of ten its always a bad thing and when this happens it is usually about a backup characters not the MAIN Character. You guys just F up the game big time. Ya it might play nice and that's yet to be seen but to take the heart and soul the voice that all us fans grew to love away is a big mistake. With just learning the voice was gone caused me to cancel my pre order. Ya hearing the REAL Sam Fisher that Ive always loved to play was all the incentive I needed to pre order but you guys shure blew that one. DUMB DUMB DUMB. If I was really free to speak you'd really get a piece of my mind. Way to take great think and Sh on it Ubisouft.

Moving Forward, Ubisoft should progress the Sam Fisher role into more of a Lambert type position. Doing this could keep the familiarity of the franchise with the beloved voice of Michael Ironside as Sam Fisher while turning the games' focus to Sam's field agent protégé. Why focus on a new agent as the player character? It would allow Ubisoft to create their game in exciting new ways while making the Splinter Cell world feel like it's both familiar and evolving. It seems like Ubisoft is trying to grow the Splinter Cell fan base without exploring possibilities that could make the series feel like a living gamescape. In other words, It feels like a cheap, half thought out money grab rather than an exciting expansion of the series.

Is it so hard to use the mocap appearance of Eric Johnson and the mocap voice of Michael Ironside?
Heavy Rain and Battlefield 3 did the same thing with Madison Paige and "Dima" Mayakovsky.

I am italian... I just say that Mike Ironside have a great voice than Eric Johnson... A similiar thing happened to italian versions of Splinter Cell.
Luca Ward was the main voice of Sam Fisher, after Chaos Theory he disappeared we wish his return in Blacklist...

Not that it's going to do anything ... but I couldn't agree more. This seems like yet another decision made with no regard for the fans. Where was the demand in this series to remove all stealth? Now Ironside?!!! Mind boggling.
