This was something that I thought about, that they are trying to "ease" in the VO transformation. The answer to this, if it were true, is that you do NOT change a game BECAUSE of it's movie adaptation, if anything, you do the opposite and the game stays true to itself. Plus I am against games being adapted into movies overall, but that is a different discussion and also a long one.
I've decided i'm not gonna buy this piece of **** unless it's sent back to the drawing board.
Let's say, hypothetically speaking, that i may close my eyes on the voice issue (although it's nearly impossible as a hardcore fan), but i won't accept the fact that you ruined the gameplay, the moral values of the character, the atmosphere. I tried to endure the changes that came with the latest games, but i just can't take it anymore. Driven forward by the success of the Assassin's Creed franchise, Ubi decided to push this series in the same direction. You've combined Assassin's Creed with Bourne and got a game you like to call Splinter Cell.
It wasn't enough that i was shocked when i saw the first footage of the game, but the extended video released these days (with the dev commentary) was even worse. The part with the UAV...COME ON!!! For crying out loud!!! Is this Splinter Cell ??? or Battlefield 3?? If i want stuff like this, i can start battlefield 3 and play either singleplayer of armored kill.
Instead of presenting us the extended version of the action clip, you could of responded to the community's concerns with the same mission played in a stealth manner...but nooooooo, we needed to see the BIG BOOM made by the UAV!!
The next G.I Joe movie has been postponed because fans were pissed that Channing Tatum is killed in the beginning of the movie. Read the article, maybe you'll learn something

Our ideas should serve as an inspiration for Ubisoft Torronto with new and innovative features in the right direction for Blacklist: http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php...e-in-Blacklist
We need a purist mode similar to what Hitman: Absolution have, but with our rules: http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php...40#post8582940

Ubisoft... please add in a true variable speed system with an integrated sound system and if you have the time...other abilities, gadgets, and things from the first SC games such as split jump, etc.
Just realised my previous post may have been a bit too negative. I may not always see eye to eye with Ubisoft, (particularly where DRM is concerned D, but I still have plenty of faith in my third favourite game developer. So let me just start by saying that there are a lot of things that I'm really excited for from what I've seen so far from the gameplay footage. The Killing in Motion thing looks pretty awesome. I might not end up ever using it in the game, but atleast I can rest easy knowing that I've got a plan B if I screw something up. The new animations look pretty **** fantastic as do the rest of the graphics, so well done Ubisoft in that regard. So far the central plot of the game sounds pretty good too. I like the fact that the devs decided to move away from the personal story of Conviction towards a more traditional Splinter Cell plot filled with political intrigue and espionage on a Global scale. I also like how plausible the plot is and how it represents some of the current social and political issues we have in the real world at the moment.
As someone who has played all of the Splinter Cell games, (from the original PC version through to Conviction, including both the old gen and current gen Double Agent versions), I personally believe that Splinter Cell has been and always should be primarily about stealth. To me being a Splinter Cell is NOT about being a hero. Its about being something more. Splinter Cells don't get medals; they dont get recognition for their service. Sam Fisher himself once said (I think it was in one of the novels actually) that if he ever appeared in the news, it wouldn't be because he just saved the world - it would mean that he screwed up big time and had either beenr captured or killed). Unfortunetly the only gameplay footage Iv'e seen has focused primarily on the action side of things for the purpose of mass appeal and all that other lovely stuff that we hardcore fans love to hate :P. As a result it is really difficult for me to gauge exactly what has changed from Conviction in terms of stealth elements. Now Maxime Beland has stated several times that we will be able to use a ghost playstyle in the game, which is great news, but what concerns me is whether or not we will have the option of ghosting throughout the ENTIRE game - not just a couple levels, or a a couple parts of each level. I want to be able to ghost every single part of every single mission. I'm also a little concerned by how much Blacklist resembles Assassin's Creed. Honestly, back when the original AC came out, the way I imagined an Assassin's Creed game set in modern times isn't too far off of what I saw in the gameplay for Blacklist. I just hope Ubisoft really is keeping the focus on stealth this time round (and they've stated several times that they are, which is great), and don't decide to try and replicate the Assassin's Creed model, because that would totally jeapordise the artistic integrity of the original developers and destroy the series. Like I said, I don't believe that this will be the case - As always I have faith in Ubisoft.
Now as for the motion-cap thing above ^... First of all, not to risk sounding like a whining little b*tch, but I have to say I was (and am still) traumatised by the replacement of Michael Ironside by Eric Johnson. I mean no disrespect for Eric Johnson, I'm sure he's a great voice actor, I'm just not convinced yet that he's the right man for the job. Ubisoft said something along the lines that the whole reason that they replaced MI is because he's basically gotten too old for the motion cap technology, and that they need someone a bit more ... *spritely*. To be honest I don't really buy this. I mean as the picture/article above clearly indicates; you don't need to have the guy doing the motion cap to also do the voice recording. It surely cant be all that difficult to capture the movements of the stuntman/motion cap guy and then layer the voice actors audio and facial expressions over that. To be honest, in my opinion I think Ubisoft may have been lying about the motion cap thing. It's possible that Ironside himself may have decided to call it quits, maybe due to personal health issues, maybe he's grown tired of voice acting, or maybe he didn't like the new direction Splinter Cell has been taking lately (not sure how much truth there is to this but, I've heard that Maxime Beland had to convince Ironside not to quit when he first started the voice acting for Conviction). As others have stated it's entirely possible Ubisoft are planning on doing a Splinter Cell movie with Eric Johnson as Sam Fisher. Ubisoft may have realised what a total sh*tstorm it would cause if they used this as an excuse for getting rid of Ironside, so they could have decided to go with the whole mocap thing as a coverstory. Keep in mind though that this is all purely speculation on my part and I have absolutely 0 evidence to back any of this up. I doubt Ubisoft would have actually lied to us like that, but I do recognise that it is atleast possible.

I'm okay with the new gameplay, I have faith in Ubi, I'm sure we'll eventually see a more ghosty sort of trailer, with all sorts of stealthy goodness, like Cooper said a bit ago, the animations are not done yet.
Eric Johnson, still does not convince me as Sam Fisher, if he could sound alot older, more grittier I'd be happier, I'd be ecstatic to see Ironside playing Sam, but I'm not gonna get my hopes up or delude myself in such things
I'd really like to see how far we can actually customize Sams looks, I know so far we can choose what suit we wear pretty much, but the headgear interests me, I'd like to see Sam in his balaclava or beanie or something along those lines, maybe different kinds of goggles etc. like maybe the same sorta style goggles Archer had back in Conviction or something along those lines
plus...what happened to the SC20k?
Im a Gamer goddamnit!!,Ive got Wires and circuits instead of arteries and veins,Ive got a Controller for hands and a CPU for a heart!!!
You have faith in Ubi . Maybe a console player does. But after ruining the Ghost Recon Title Name with GRFS on PC
Im am pretty sure a LOT of PC gamers have lost faith in Tom Clancy games by Ubi and pre ordering games from Ubi
I bought GR1org CD, GR1 ORG exp packs CD, GRAW1 CD, GRAW2 steam , GRFS steam, few of the sc games on disc, SCC steam , sc Choast Theory steam , sc Double agent steam , R6 org cd , r6 org exp packs cd , r6 rs disc , didnt bother with r6 lockdown till it was like 4-5 bucks on steam, didnt seem the same game. R6 Vegas and Vegas 2 10 buck specials on cd and steam .
For me R6 followed well up to R6 Ravenshield and its exp pack , with lockdown it got worst , with Vegas its coop went from 8 to 4, with vegas 2 its coop went from 4 to 2
Adding 3d and regen hp ruined the series for me
I wasnt really overly impressed with GRAW1 as a 'ghost recon title" and GRAW2 seemed worse . GRFS seems like it could of had the chance to be the most fun game of 2012 but its mp not working killed it , but its not a real GR title . So for me , the real GR games is still GR1 org and its exp packs.
SCC was a good blend of new interface and action fun , while still being sc , but it lacked 4 player coop , old mp modes , lacks old game play features, like draging bodies, whistling , proper sound meter. By adding the stupid and ugly grey screen into SCC was one of the most annoying features of the game, bring back the old school level meter inderactors , they worked .
SCB will probly the last Ubi title i buy and im not going to pre order it , thats for sure
