    Hehe, guys...

I thought Grim was the hottest in SCC and Enrica in the old gen console

Hey Freedoms don't be 'sexy-ist' I like me some hotties in video games...I'm shallow like that!
    Hehe, yeh.

Haven't you guys ever heard of being deeply shallow?
    If you say so. lol

I am not sexist but sexy-ist. lol Whatever that means but it's not the same as sexist. Because I am not. lol

There's nothing wrong with being attracted to enticing girls in video games.
The more I play SCC, the more I think SCC and SCB are more optimized for panther and assault. Playing ghost is not really a fun factor unlike the old SC games. For that matter, I think SCB should at least be played panther or assault (not over use). We all hope SCB is more classic since it is still in production but you can't change the fact that the series is taking this way. Therefore, you play it the way it's meant to be played. Though, I am not ruling out ghosting in SCB, it's possible and can be fun but the game is more optimized for panther/assault.
    Therefore:
SC1-4: Ghost player SCC and SCB: Panther/(Occasional)Assault
    Overall: GHOST PLAYER

+1 Vote to have an Option for turning Health Regeneration on/off... it kills game play and makes it feel like a sci-fi shoot-em-up with Health Regen.

Mark and Execute is "interesting" but it waters down the game play into "Done it for you" cinematic sequencing. Mark enemies with goggles, sure, but execute with no user-interaction (read: aiming), on a PC game is just ridiculous. Not trying to be harsh but this should be well-known as Fact for PC Gamers.

I am well aware of the time-consuming process of Console-Porting (which is generally atrocious BTW), but please take the time to polish it for PC as opposed to controller based, Aim-Assist console gaming, please (i don't know if I am pleading or asking TBH).

Conviction was palatable, but only because of the stunning upgrades. After the campaign, everything else became unplayable, as it was Sam on a rampage with as many Lethal functions as humanly and technologically possible. The amount of Rage vs. Stealth in Conviction was highly unbalanced, and i know he should be pissed but men like that know how to keep quiet until the time is right, ie. stealth, shadows, alternate pathing, tactics, non-lethality for interrogation (there was plenty of interrogations in Conviction but it was far too linear, i like what i see in Blacklist, World Premiere video, the inversed rappelling).

Thanks for taking the risk to divulge what info you could for "Hardcore Gamers", and not just "what sings to the people", as if Hardcore Fans are not people lol. You, and Ubisoft in general have already made it abundantly clear that you cater to consoles, and i would never, ever in a million years buy a shooter game for a console, because Mouse/Keyboard is far superior to Controllers. Aim-Assist (like Mark and Execute) makes my stomach turn when i think of what Splinter Cell is, and not what is dished out to cater to mass markets.

All in all i will probably pass this up, save for watching a few walkthroughs on youtube, as it will be a cinematic experience, and sadly not a stealthy, patience-driven experience. Why not just make a movie and leave our Splinter Cell alone with this Cinematic Console crap?

I don't think anyone was trying to say "Hardcore gamers" aren't people. o_O
But hows about you take a step back and let the advertising campaign play out a little longer and see what you think after the stealth aspects of the game have been revealed and talked about?

    also
Mouse/Keyboard is far superior to Controllers
That is a commonly recited fallacy.
And the Splinter Cell series originated on Xbox -- the PC version came later.

Now guys. I shouldn't intervene but...

Mouse and keyboard is a better combination, it's not necessary that SC started on the console, it's better. Just that it's easier to use a mouse and keyboard.

There's no extremist elitist in SC except for those super hardcore fans which favours SC1 more than anything else. (not intended to start a debate)

I think it's pretty sad that Call of Duty is dominating not only their FPS bracket, but any bracket... everyone is hyping up ultra-violent kill-modes and Ubisoft took the bait, instead of making a game that their base fans from all their previous SC games would gladly pay their ridiculous high-priced pre-order nowadays for, instead try to appeal to a mass market and effectively kill the franchise.

They have Rainbow Six coming up, why not let the ultra-violent tacticool kill everyone you see crap go with that, as i'm sure it will be a blood bath. But hey, that's what i buy R6 for in the first place, Splinter Cell on the other hand, comes straight out of the gate with a nice video showing a semi-cinematic with NPC aides, and a second video with a run n' gun Rambo situation... It's saddening that Splinter Cell has turned into a 3rd person version of Call of Noobfest, that game is terrible, looks terrible, plays terrible, and just because of the fact that it sells well (mostly to kids who aren't even legally allowed to purchase it), everyone runs through the marketing offices calling for more ways of catering to subpar gamers.

To Ubisoft: even if you GAIN the purchases of all those noobs who cannot play a Stealth based game without asinine assists and can't wait to take someone's head off in various ways without regard for personal safety or missions status, you will LOSE all of your original fanbase and alienate your real customers, y'know the ones who fix all your bugs and create tools and make mods and setup servers correctly and be pro at the game, the ones who make the game worthwhile, you will lose. It's not a threat, it's a promise.

[Edit]: after watching the E3 again, it seems half of the missions (based on the map that was released) will be facing terrorists that live in the stone age... i'd be surprised if you do any hacking at all, and killing in the sand and snow is all you will do for half the game. Double agent had it's faults for having 3 missions in NYC, where you do simple tasks that take up a couple hours of game play... at least they had awesome tools like the IP hacker and a watch that records voice, fingerprints, and can capture retinas for scanners. Truly amazing.

Now we goto the bum's end of nowhere fighting wanna-be's with a kill-only take the easy intel mission objective, total junk.

Ahem, those "stone age" terrorist are the same lot that the United States (the world's most powerful military) has been in war with for the passed decade.
Technology and training don't win wars; they help, but determination, morale, and courage is why 300 Spartans stood against an endless sea of Persians (the real story, not Zack Snyder's telling, though that was really cool) and ultimately changes the course of history.
Don't underestimate an adversary because they dress loosely and carry guns with wooden stocks, and have the determination to turn themselves into fireworks for their beliefs.

The premise here isn't entirely the issue.
That said, the execution probably will be.
Still, we'll be seeing lots of traditional locations. I guarantee.

A "blacker than black covert op" that involves Airstriking, AC-130's, and the option to ignore or engage any hostile not linked to scripted objective? Making them dumb-AI is just plain wrong.

Use the AI the way Splinter Cell made us in awe of the power Sam had with his skill., All i see is death or ingnorance, no terrorist rank system with shady-natured terrorists regarding non-objective linked AI.

All cinematic interrogation in linear fashion and some Hollywood Boom and top secret Aides that are supposed to "wow" us, even though i've seen it all before, there's things called "the news" and "Movies" that tell us about what we already know in splinter cell. Gadgets are upgraded and that's great but the depth of the environment is dull, with kill or ignore, nonsense AI that serve no purpose but to be an obstacle to give you a Blue's Clue's choice to kill or evade. Very sad i see Mark and Execute to coddle players who can't handle a High-Risk Espionage Mission without aim-bot help, obviously a console and subpar-fanbase decision.

    Truly disappointed, Limerick.

Dude, I get that you care for a beloved game that has veered away into uncharted territory regarding gameplay, plot, theme, etc. And I do agree with some of your points but if a game isn't allowed a bloody chance to ferment and then display their hand at a later date how can you continue to criticize an unfinished product? I am skeptical about M&E being more than just an "instant win button" this time around. But Zack said it goes a bit deeper so I'm excited but I'm not holding my breath. If you hate M&E and find it too easy, and "blue's-clue-ish", then don't use it, nobody is forcing you to do so.

Pure, jaded, condemnation is always toxic to new ideas and the conversation and discussion that follow.
Honestly, if you are TRULY DISAPPOINTED and have given up on this game, this franchise and this character, then why did you make an account so recently and post charged, opinionated posts about such a long gone game?

I joined this forum because I love Chaos Theory and enjoyed Conviction. I believe Blacklist has a unique opportunity to achieve the greatness in innovation that both Splinter Cell games were lauded for and hopefully combine these various playstyles to create a fun experience. I heard that the Devs were listening to our ideas and opinions so I wanted to throw in my two cents. This isn't a hate mail forum so seriously chill.

Stealththrough for SCBL was five kinds of sweet but I needs MORE!!!!!!!!!!

We're all hoping that Ubi can truly deliver on the stealth side of things. The issue with M&E is that if the game is built around it (like Conviction), when you don't use it you don't really have any other rewarding/natural options. M&E was the main feature in Conviction. Let's just hope that in SCB, it's just one of many tools to get yourself out of a sticky situation.
