So by now everyone knows that the voice of Sam fisher has changed (although it looks like he has been involved in the making of the game.) Many may ask why, however I think it may be down to Ubisoft's purchase of a film studio a while back. Could they be trying to get gamers used to Eric Johnson's voice before he takes up the role on the silver screen for the long awaited movie? What do people think

I think you're right, the introduction of Eric Johnson as Sam Fisher in Blacklist could be paving the way for his appearance in a film. He basically is acting as Sam Fisher, doing the motion capture and voice acting so I think that this is very likely.

Exactly, Ever since the concept of the film back when Chaos Theory was announced I always wondered how they'd make the film without the famous voice.

I highly doubt it. Eric Johnson doesn't look or act anything like Sam Fisher. I cannot see him playing him in a movie unless he is a new agent but it wouldn't make sense to ease us into him as Sam just to make him a new character.

I doubt it because as go said, they would have just used him as a coop player, while still using him for motion capture. This situation is somewhat mindboggling. Ubi will probably cave eventually, look at all the hate they have been getting all over the web and this is the first day

All Ubi has to do is have Ironside dub Sam and have a option to switch voice actors.
