Does UBI have any type of customer relations or marketing department?

Has it seriously been over 6 months with no new information, updates, or interviews about the progress and direction of Patriots?

and the reason for this is what exactly?

I don't get it. I, personally am happy that I haven't heard anything about the game, yet. When they showed that pre-alpha footage last year, they made it clear it would be ready for release some time in 2013. That's literally all people have to know. Why disrupt the development to prepare footage for fans? Let them keep working, and work hard so we don't have to experience any delays.

I think, with Blacklist coming in spring 2013, its a pretty safe bet R6 won't release until the fall 2013, or later if it sees a delay.

Very surprised as a R6 game has always followed after a GR release usually only within a few months, figures it would be this game that's out last
