Legendary classic rock to me means 60's and 70's. My 3 guesses...
1. The Who
2. Led Zeppelin
3. .... since we already have The Rolling Stones,... I'll say,... The Beatles (I can dream can't I?!?!?)

I personally hope we never see AC/DC. That has to be one of the most over-rated bands on the planet....along with Led. I feel like that because where I live...ANY time I go to a bar or someplace that has music playing, I'm gonna heard an AC/DC song. I think that's one of the go-to bands if you don't know much music.
I didn't say they are bad...just over-played.
Now I'd like to see more Boston...particularly Foreplay/Long-time...and Hitch A Ride.
Highway Star by Deep Purple...(would Space Truckin' be a good bass song?)
Hold On Loosely by 38 Special(?)
I dunno, when I think of legendary classic rock, Boston comes to mind. I'm not even a big fan to be honest.
So a question for you guys...
What ONE band first pops to mind when you hear (see) the words legendary classic rock? DON'T think, just type in the first band on your mind, even if you ultimately don't agree with it.

Like I stated above,.... first band that popped in my head was,.... The Who ....They spanned the 60's, 70's and 80's, never really trailed off either.

I'm thinking it might be The Eagles
I'm hoping it's not Lynyrd Skynyrd just because it's too obvious but I'm not going to be mad if it is

Gonna go out on a limb and say that it won't be an artist already released... i.e. won't be lynyrd, boston, clapton, or stones.
I'm thinking the Who seems like a reasonable guess... Led Zep is the first thing that comes to my mind, but I don't think we will get them anytime soon.
Edit: Eagles would be great.

Eagles would rock. I just heard some of their later stuff on the way home from work today, and was thinking to myself how much fun it'd be to play. But even their early, countrified stuff is awesome, so bring it on.

I just saw this on facebook, too. I'm more interested in this slew of news. I'm expecting it to be a Bass add-on announcement, but what else could they be planning? Rocksmith 2? Eager to see what's on the way.
And legendary? Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Grateful Dead, King Crimson, Beatles, The Who? I'm guessing it's someone big if they're going to build it up like that.

Aerosmith would work.
Too many tuning issues for ZZ Top.
I don't really like The Who.
I do like The Doors and/or Steppenwolf.
Steve Miller Band
Joe Walsh or The Eagles or any member thereof
Rush
If it was Journey, I would take off work for a week, and master each of them.
