Anyone else hope AC3 will revitalise this community? | Forums

I know a lot of you won't recognise me, and those of you who do might not know me too well. And that's the point. I joined this community Feb this year, and I seriously regret not jdoing so earlier. From what I've heard from the people that have been here from the start, this community is a mere shadow of what it used to be. They complain it has been ruined by 'ACR Noobs' and that ACR killed the community. Now as an ACR Noob myself, I was at first a little hurt by this. But I realised it's true, the people I meet on ACR are often complete idiots, while the 'origin players' are usually pretty cool.

Now I wish I could of been a part of this in its prime, but since I missed it, I can only hope that AC3 will bring a breath of life, so I can be a part of something that is great once again.

And now I ask everyone else. Do you too hope that AC3 restores this community to what it once was? Or do you think I have no idea what I'm talking about, and we should let it die peacefully?

And for the record, if I am talking out my ***, I apoligise in in advance...

I dont believe so, the ps3 greats that i knew are gone, astlan,xantos,kristian,arian(blissful),Dave0718,an d countless others who dont come to these forums anymore because of the ACR people thinking they are so much better than the ones who came before.

I really hope it does but knowing ubisoft, AC3 is probably going to be an extension of ACR and less like ACB.

The only name on Sickests list that I havent met was Astlan. Ive heard a lot of good things about him. I guess I missed out on the prime of the forum but Ive still met some great people. I hope that AC3 does something to bring life back into the forum and opens up better lines of communication between Ubisoft and us but Im probably talking out of my keister as well. lol. I have it on good authority that the new MP is going to be really good. Heres hoping! (fingers crossed!)

Well when the ones who came before did nothing but complain on the forums about not being able to adapt until they got us the terrible update. Good riddance.

The ones that cared about the future of the game and the community stayed.

Yes people like them and oh idk a guy named ripe_claw left too didnt he. I seem to remember you saying he was your friend. Is he one of these people who couldnt adapt? I seem to remember him like all the other vets complain about ACR at some point. Kinda weird hating on all your friends so much.

Yeah, i started playing ACB back in february of last year and back then the community was amazing! i've met alot of people on the PS3 side that i still have on my PSN list.

I played ALOT during the ACR beta and i played alot of ACR for the first couple months but i haven't played since february of this year. For some reason it just stopped being fun. I was constantly being outmatched by better players and the only mode i played which was Assassinate was really hard to do well since the noobs of November,December,January left and i was stuck with really good veterans LOL who all had the same tactic (so did i) which was the good ol smoke/stun/grounded/focus/poison. But hey that's my fault for not being better! :P

And you know what's the funniest part?

After not putting the ACR disc in my PS3 for MONTHS, i finally decided to play a couple games tonight after work and you know what happened? The servers were freaking unavailable at that time (around 7:30pm EST) LOL

I finally decided to play and i can't! Funny stuff.

But yeah i do hope the MP if good in AC3 and that it brings all of us together again!

Ripe Claw didn't abandon it. He still plays it from time to time. I'm not saying if you complained at all then you couldn't adapt. But if you complained about RDM, stuns, and contested kills then yeah, that is you not being able to adapt and hating on the game for it.

I have been playing AC since the first day it came out back in 07 and had reached level 50 on ACB within the week and gave up on my #5 leaderboard spot for kills because I got tired of the noob lobbies. Lol i came back after 3 months and found new kind of noob lobbies, except these kind were filled with noobs that called themselves skilled.

Hopefully AC3 does more than revitalize the community (whatever that means) and brings in new people.

I don't hate anyone. I just disagree with people's reasoning for their opinions. If you honestly don't like ACR because it is truly terrible (like it is now, after the update) then that's fine. But if you don't like it because you don't know how it works and get beat by noobs because the only tactic you relied on was stun locking then yeah I'm going to disagree with your reasoning for your opinion.
