Settlers 7 Patch 1.12 Campaign still doesn't progress | Forums

Purchased Settlers 7: Paths to a Kingdom last weekend. After lots of messing around to get it to run. I played the first mission. Used all of my gold to purchase 35 pikemen and didn't have enough gold to recruit musketeers so couldn't finish the FIRST mission as there is no way to generate gold I could find. So I started the mission again. Finished it. Didn't click free play but clicked continue campaign. Taken back to the map screen and the same first mission is only available. How do I unlock Mission 2 of the campaign. I am not playing the first mission a 3rd time! This was supposed to be fixed in 1.05 so why am I stuck and frustrated with something I was looking forward to playing.

Note: I did start playing game in work and loaded a save game of the first mission at home.

I'm just having a little trouble understanding your question. When you say the first mission, I think you mean "Dawn of Settlements" where you rebuild Mohnfelden and beat up on Ramirez. But you can't purchase musketeers in the first mission in my game. Four pikemen are enough to beat Ramirez.

Check which version you are running by opening a log file in C:\Users\Admin\Documents\Settlers7\Logfiles (assuming you are running Windows 7). The first line should be "THE SETTLERS VII - Paths to a Kingdom version 1.12.1396...."

Why wouldn't you play the mission a 3rd time? I have just replayed it 5 or 6 times to try to help you. It's always good.

After I conquer Ramirez and take over his sector, it says: "Congradulations, you've won the game" or sometimes it says "You were successful" instead. When I select "Continue campaign" the intro map opens again and "Warfarers Welcome" is ready to play.

Keep in mind that I don't necessarily see the same thing as you, as the game changes. For instance, the first time I played Dawn of Settlements the rest of the intro map was empty and I noticed I could not knock down buildings. Now when I replay, all the missions are shown on the map and I can knock down buildings.

Ok apologies. I was on the level "Warfarers Welcome" mission 2. I had finished the tutorial mission in work and proceeded to the next mission and saved the game. I loaded the save game at home via save game sync and continued mssion 2. Original point about adding too many pikemen and running out of gold meant I had to restart mission. When I finished the mission and clicked continue camplaign the game went back to the map screen and the only mission I had available was "Dawn of Settlements" the tutorial!!! So I have now had to play the tutorial and "Warfarers Welcome" again due to a bug! Guess I won't be playing again in work! Cheers!
