Meanwhile, in the Ghost Recon Universe, Captain Mitchell was recruited to Ghost Recon by... a female Ghost, Major Grey.

Captain Mitchell's marksman of choice was normally... a female Ghost, Alicia Diaz.

In all seriousness, females can't physical do what males can't and that strength is what's need in a special forces unit.
I'm not being sexist here (though saying this pretty much leads everybody to assume that I am), it's straight up biology.
