    Lost Connection to Host

Everytime i try to join a game in rainbow six vegas 2 (PC) the loading bar for the map gets stuck, then sends me back to the quick match search. The game then says "The Connection to the Host has been Lost"
I have tried both UPNP on and off, as well as forwarded the right ports, and it's still not working. Am I the only one who has had this problem? How do I fix it?
I bought it on Steam, if that makes a difference...

Does it happen for every game you join? I get this sometimes when first joining games, and other times during map changes. Usually though I can rejoin the host (unless they have actually gone from the match list) and it works again.

If it happens with every host you try to connect to, I can't really suggest anything more, as it seems you've covered all the usual culprits like port forwarding, firewall settings etc. Do you have the latest version (1.3 I think) installed? If not try that, as it may not allow you to connect if your version isn't the same.

Welcome to the world of UBI. I have played the game since release and I can tell you things are getting worse insteed of better. Upon release I could play almost any server with the occasinal disconnect. Now it is almost impossible to play with friends overseas. Same problem as above" Can't join server or loose server on map change. This past weekend I went all through everything I could think of trying to connect." Made sure ports were open router UPMP was open (also in game) with no results. Monday I had no problem joining servers so my conclusion is UBI's Master Server can"t handle the number of people wanting to play on the weekends

The forums used to be a good place to come for information but these days all of the players that played from release refuse to come here because with all the request for help it has always fallen on deaf ears.So in the future UBI if you want to deal with the consols please don't release broken crap to the P.C. Format.
If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem.

This problem of players loosing their connection to the host is down to the ubi master server or what ever part of their internal networking is responsible for keeping the connection alive

I think UBI scrub the servers once a year if they bother atall, There have been server isuues for years and they have never been fixed.
