Rocksmith freezing on PS3 | Forums

First hard system freeze since starting over. I'm at lvl 9 and just finished performing a song (I Can't Hear You).

Sigh.....

Anyway, instead of the useless complaining, I suggest that we keep reporting when we freeze and such in the bugs thread in hopes that Ubi will be able to narrow down the issues and patch it up for good.

Im almost 100% that dlc contributes to freezing. Ive been wanting to figure out how many dlc you can have in your library w/o contributing to freezing. To be safe just go with three. Certainly the higher respect points you have the less songs in a set you can play. Either way at somepoint your limited to playing 4 song sets with only two dlc's in my library. Seems to work. Sort of. Funny that these guys made an inoperable mode to use and call it a journey.

the game has been built for xbox 360 then ported to ps3

The ps3 version bugs werent tested as much and as result a buggy version that can't be fixed due to the game being wayy too heavy for these system.

When i finish a song with my friend on the xbox, it doesnt bug but takes 2-3 minutes of loading.

It is longer and longer compared to when i was a noob, now they are crazy lol, and the game is install on hdd

I've also noticed extremely long 'save' / 'load' times on the XBOX. Just shy of level 10 and it's been like this for a couple levels. I've locked up twice on the 360, requiring a hard start. Can't be anything but the game as:

1. I bought a 360 just for the the game
2. It's the only game I have on 360

I can avoid a hard reset of my PS3 by ejecting and then re-inserting the game disc when if freezes.

Does anyone else freeze (consistently) after playing Dawn of the Chordead?

your bug is exactly the same as everyone i know that own a ps3 and got to around lvl 8 and more

poor you i had this bug months ago , but since i change to xbox everythings fine exept the extremly long loading/save

the only place the game crash on xbox is very rarely when you select a song in the song bank, the game can crash if you go very fast ,stop ,fast, stop

These are propbably unfixable bugs

Just about any bug should be fixable. Whether they will fix it is another matter.

Yep, I haven't tried it since starting RS over though. I'm gonna try ejecting the disk and see if it works for me. Tired of putting my PS3 through those resets.

I play on the PS3 and have no problems with lockups save once or twice. Just lucky I guess.

Here is a link to rebuilding the PS3 database. It seems to make sense with what others are experiencing here and other forums/games.

tried this ..... started the PS3 following Data Base rebuild

Event at Brannen went well

Space Ostrich encore

and it froze ..... dead ........ instead of hard boot

just turned it off ........ frustrating

I did the database rebuild 2 nights ago but only played 1 song the first night and took the game to my buddy's house last night. So today was the first real test since the database rebuild.

Got home early from work today and was excited to spend some time playing Mean B1tch for the weekly challenge. I leveled the first section to max (missed a few notes but it gave it to me anyway) and it froze before saving. No problem. Exit disk, restart game and try again. Same thing. Reboot and level it to 96 % and it didn't freeeze. Went onto another section (solo I think) and couldn't level it after a few tries so I tried to exit RR and it froze again. I just shut it down and probably try again tomorrow.

I'll also fill out another support ticket.
